airfrog - you're going to turn the jeans into a period piece! ;)

Good job on the fading but those are the ugliest looking jeans I've ever seen, next to True Religions.

TDA - you're surely insulting the historical significance behind the jean, and the denim itself, by comparing the first 501 ever made with true religions.

Why did you choose not to soak? I assume they are not sanforized? (or is that leg twist I see?)

Also, I would love to be directed to where I could see these being worn.

those are from the 2005 LVC line so i highly doubt there will be pictures of them worn in...

unless you mean worn as in "put on", in which case allen will supply you the desired porn in your inbox ;)

I prefer this method. I've done it both ways and the denim fade when you don't soak is just so cool in my opinion. You've already got a ton of fading before your first soak so after your third or forth soak the contrast is just incredible. I haven't had allot of problems with the fading looking bad because I just let'm go naturally so the abrasion is so slow that it really doesn't make that much difference. Over time it all seem to bland together. Remember back in the 19th century most folks didn't have washing machines and the people that wore waist overalls were works and weren't concerned with twisting and fading. They would by a pair of jeans wear'm to work and wash them after the got really dirty. A day on the farm or in the mine is a month on the bar stool.

how do they fit

Will they fit allot like the 1933s. Not hip hop baggy but not trim either. I really like the fit. ANTI-FIT is a great term for these... Room in the seat and thighs and with the cinch you can make them snug in the waist. They look great with a A-2 flight jacket or a nNavy AN6552 (WWII G-1) and a pair of indys.

again LVC should let the consumer know details like this - denim weight, dye, etc.

also, i cannot say enough how much i love the single needle stitching :)

Yeah I wish they would also. I don't know how many pairs of these were made and sold raw but the pair Ihave is the only pair I've ever seen on e-bay. I've seen them pre aged but never raw. I thought Aero had these last year but Paul seems to think the were US only. They're 9 oz (guess) but very similar in weight and color to my 1901s when they were still raw.

I saw a guy wearing a pair really similar to these once... I'm not familiar with the LVC at all...but they had the single back pocket, buckle at the back, deffinately baggy, saggy ass, anti-fit, they werent raw though... I would think by looking at the pictures of them here they would look horrible on, but the guy who had them on wore them well... they looked really cool on, cinched at the waist and hanging down, he was Japanese though and those guys have great style / ability to pull off anything .

Keep us updated on these, and a pic of them on would be fantastic

I think those jeans look amazing. I am always a sucker for nostalgia. I don't think I could ever wear them, cuz I am so damn skinny and my wardrobe is rather thin, so a pair of baggy pants just wouldn't fit in. I stick with the 47 cut. I can't believe how black those jeans are. Do they look that black in person also. I love the depth of blues on many of the LVC line.

These are very dark. They bleed a bit to(blue hands). I can't go near the couch when I have them on the wife would kill me. I have a good friend thats very thin and wears LVCs and can pull of some of the looser cuts. These aren't as full as the 20s 201s which both of the pairs I have are very full. These are a little more like the 33s

I would have to try them on in person to see how they would look. Would love to see these in person though.
