Evolution of Leather Goods: Before and After Pictures

Recommended Posts

evo of my leather, my wallet is about 9 months old and my belt about 5, i put them next to some new ones for comparison. I think i've oiled my wallet 3 or 4 times, and the belt gets some obenaufs every 2 months or so just to keep it protected:

KC's Bifold, 9 or 10 months old, I forgot. Will use until end of SJC, so if anyone wants to buy this then yeah, PM me.

Oh yeah that flap is from the inside coin pocket compartment, thats the original untanned colour the wallet was when I got it.

Hi everyone! I recently got this untanned leather wallet from Muji. Just wondering if anyone would care to share their experience with these wallets (or other Muji leather goods). The leather is very pale and feels pretty substantial. I like the wallet a lot new, but would love to hear any evo tips from others. You can see the wallet here:

Thanks in advance!

Just received my Last Crop wings. How long should I expect to achieve light-brownish tan? Are there any other benefits to tanning other than being less prone to indigo?

I have it tanned for like 3 hours, but it still looks as good as new. But it's worth noting that I'm doing it under the winter sun.

i got ahold of one his belts from his styleforum link. It is a very thick chunk of leather, very tough to break in. Overall the piece is very nice, unbeatable quality for the price.

3 hours is nothing man, try a day or two ;)

They had them in the Soho store on Broadway back when it opened, and I didn't buy it at the time. They quickly sold out, and I regretted it. All their wallets had been sold out for a while, so I had someone who was visiting Taiwan pick up the wallet in a Taipei Muji store for me. However, the Broadway store just got a bunch of wallets back in stock, although not that exact model. Muji's prices are really affordable in Asia, but they mark up the prices in the US by a lot, although most stuff is still reasonably priced. I don't recall how much they're charging in Soho for wallets, but definitely between $50 and $100. Hope that helps.

Ive had this wallet for about 6 months now and my indigo is starting to rub off on it... do you guys think i should leave it or try to clean it off since its really not suppose to be the type to take on fading and stains.. do you have any recomendations for products that will help get the indigo off?

sounds a little steep. the soho store is a fucking rip given the quality of the goods. $30 for a cardboard binder? $4 for post-it notes? $12 for a mug? fuck that.
