You know I've tried them on at the store and they are pretty much TTS (8.5) but they made my feet look like a size 5. Oddest looking toe box ever. It helps if you have large dogs.

with the 1000 mile boots I find them to run 1/2 to 1 size big on most people. they are slightly bigger than Barrie lasted Aldens. I haven't tried the cordovan ones yet, but I would expect them to run big too

I noticed that the sole layers were separating the other day on my Red Wings. Not too sure what it is from or what if anything I should do about it. I haven't ever treated these boots. :confused:

This is 100% normal when you actually wear your boots. Don't sweat it - wear em until they need to be resoled. They look good...

Hey Jason,

Thanks for the note. I knew Moulded Shoe had the modified last, but when I looked on their site last week, I didn't see the French Calf PTB. The only thing I saw was the burnished calf and black calf. Mini's didn't look like any of the other burnished calf I have seen. Not sure if his are the same. Unfortunately, Mouldedshoes didn't have pics of their Burnished Calf PTBs. Anyway, hopefully Mini will chime in.

Those PTB's look like they're from Anatomica Paris - Seems like there is some heel stitching, which I never see from Moulded... Anatomica makes some beautiful shoes / boots on the Modified but doesn't carry sizing past E, and charges 50%+ more than Moulded Shoe.

If Alden would actually make this PTB in a EEE (which they claim they no longer will do), I would order a pair, pay upfront and wait 8 months... For my foot, Modified Last is just more comfortable than the Trubalance. Modified hugs the heel more closely.

Where'd you get those long wings? They're really starting to grow on me... How the fook could you guys figure the Whiskey color from the pic... I'm def. colorblind but didn't think it was that bad!
