They do also make levis 501, for women, although I don't think they come in a raw or stf version. The womens version just comes with a curvier cut in the hip and I think a lower rise and slightly slimmer leg

new black shrink to fits that i got at my local camping shop. apparently the guy said they just came out. took a bath in em and fit great.

i heard the wear/fade on them aren't all that though

Yeah, I heard the same thing. Apparently these don't keep their indigo very well. But black denim takes longer to fade, so who knows? Maybe they'll turn out okay.

Who else is working on a pair of these right now?

The lighter weft (like that pic) is new. The first batch I saw last year was really lightweight denim, and the weft was dark-ass grey, practically black itself. Also the hardware was all tarnished brass, instead of the blackened color of the new ones.

I'm wearing a pair of those new light-weft ones while I wait for the blue STF contest to begin.

They were sold on Urban Outfitters site, and they're on sale now, but all that's left is 30-32 inseam, so unless you're phenominally short I don't know of anywhere else that has them right now.

thanks for the compliments. haha don't think i wanna break in another pair of stfs. they were such an awkward blue and the hip flares were a beach to get rid of. dont get me wrong, theyre great now. Now i wanna try a pair of APCs or something in that range, boot cut as well so theyll fit over my...well, boots.

If your Levi's worked for your boots, most straight cuts would probably work as well.

Hi does anyone out there have any tips to acquire whiskers better because it seems like every pair of 501's I buy whiskers dont appear.

just wanted to share the LEVIS 501 GLOBAL BLUES, the fit if superb exactly like lvc1947 but in low rise version. two of the models are selvedge, the one that i got is the "perfect worn" and its cheep you can get a discount in online levis.
