Marbled gray (charcoaly) w/ a navy brim, navy vent stitching, grey button, creme patch/logo.

Yay/nay?

That could be cool

Or we could do something more tonal and dark so everyone could wear it

Like Asphalt, navy brim, no pinstriping, Asphalt button and maroon logo.

Even just a Maroon "S" in a good typeface would be cool

while i definitely don't get alot of the menswear blog hype posts/products, this is one i can get behind ...

i've worn ebbets fitteds pretty much exclusively for a while now because i love how unstructured they are, making them form fit to your head after a while (the crown on new eras looks ridiculous, imo). i can throw one of these in a bag, my pockets, etc. and never have to worry about it getting all fucked up. the wools are super soft, and the brim is the perfect size (satin underneath is a great touch).

i think it would be important to keep this hat SIMPLE, as that's the beauty of these things. i'm talking 2 colors, TOPS. no crazy branding, no script all over the place.

I like that. S for swag.

Anyone want to recommend a typeface or take a stab at designing one?

Also pretty interested ... though I think they're actually less than 48 bucks if you do a group order. I could be wrong though.

It says on the site:

Ballcaps: We can make custom historic, fitted wool ballcaps in production runs of as few as 24 pieces. Single-piece custom caps are sometimes possible (felt lettering treatments only).Single-piece custom caps are generally $48.

By the looks of that, ordering just one custom cap would cost you $48.

Or maybe I'm just retarded.

Hence the "cursory glance" disclaimer. Good catch. Cheaper hats = more money for balancing my life in new ways
