That new Herno Laminar ish designed by Errolson is looking very nice.

Has some Disearan feel over it, and as Gore-Tex has been actively involved i'm guessing they are using top-notch techniques also.

cheap alternative is non-fashion techwear.

Cheapest fashion-techwear will probably be disaeran, some outlier items and the uber-cheap uniqlo innovation project but construction-wise that's very poor (explains the price difference with disaeran)

i was just in HK. the stuff looked nice, but it just doesn't have the technical functionality that a lot of the posters here are looking for.

Don't know if it's sufficiently urban, but I love my Arcteryx Alpha SL.

I get overheated really easily, even in winter, but it's uninsulated and breathable enough that I can use it as a winter jacket. It's also roomy enough that I can layer underneath if I really need to. Have to say, seeing gore in action was impressive. I ran it under my sink a few times just because I've never had a gore-tex jacket before and it was awesome to watch the water fly off.

Not trying to be snarky, but did you try getting them repaired under warranty? I would hope that they'd cover that.

no i never did. i just sewed the hem back. barely visible. its not really anything major. doesnt really affect performance or anything

I am not very fond of Nike as a brand but, to me, their SFB is the best option to fit with urban techwear (if you think there is something better around to go with veilance or acronym stuff please tell me, I would be very happy to know)

Veilance catalogue models are wearing black Common Project hi-tops, very nice, minimalist design.

For real urban ninja performance I was thinking of getting these very rugged Adidas GSG-9, but maybe they are too much of an overkill.
