Roy has made us a very special jean for this project. It is completely one-of-a-kind. He made a new pattern just for us and here is what he had to say about the denim..

" The denim is totally awesome. I don't know a lot about cotton, but its this type that I'm always trying to find that I don't even have words to describe. This other dude and I have referred to it as "that leathery kind" not because its tough, but because its so supple and soft. I don't know what the weight is on this, but its really heavy. The mill is Nehon Menpu (my personal favorite). "

The jeans look great and I think that this tour is gonna be great. But it's a bit strange that many contestants take part in the Roy x Cone contest, too.

^Not sure what the exact time frame was when developing both ROYsplosions, but for me personally, I didn't know about the contest until after I joined the tour (at least this is how I'm remembering it?) so I'm sure that the contest wasn't exactly the most concrete thing in it's earlier development. I seem to recall that it was more of a "hey let's do this" and then a few months later BAM there was denim from cone, etc. and the rest was all a bit of a rush as you may remember...

BTW, ROY is still participating in the tour right? Is he just going to wear them at the end?
