this second one kind of makes me sad. the colors/lighting isn't how I wanted it to be, but it was taken in a split second on my way back to work if any excuses could be made.

pretty much just a high school party with a camera lucky enough to catch it. they werent very happy.

so, i graduate in the spring, and my parents told me they'd buy me a nice camera (digital), so i can pursue a higher level of photography (ive casually dabbled, see my photos from a gazillion pages back). anyways, since 99% of sufu is made up of photoguru's and superphotog's, i was wondering, whats a good mid-range priced digital SLR with a good zoom, manual settings and other nifty features. im coming from a Canon Rebel GT film camera, so i want something thats like that, maybe a little nicer, but not so expensive my parents won't buy me the camera.. think ya'll could help a brotha out?

anyways, onto some photos, taken with my brothers Sony Powershot.. kinda weak, i know, but they turned out alright.

last one's my brother in the backyard.. that be mah house.

most of those were taken on my last trip, first 3 were in Paris, next 2 are around London, and the last one is at my humble estate @ the beginning of the summer.

@Felix: Here you go. It's a very nice lens, but I couldn't justify buying it because I don't often use 50mm.
