haha yea, it was kind of a pacman monsta, but the thing was the shutter closed before i could put in some top teeth ahhaa! ill try again another time.

That's not grain, that's JPEG artifact. Use less compression next time.

I think that's debatable. Whereas some grain is desirable, most noise isn't.

In any case, JPG artifact (which is due to the 8x8 square blocks used in the discrete cosine transformation) is not desirable.

well.. basically.. i feel that grain is when it looks "nice" for artistic purposes, and noise, is basically, shit you don't want.

thats how i look at it in the day and age.
