I'm reading The Long tail by Chris Anderson, don't get fooled by the "business book" stigma, this is pretty good intro to something that is quite relevant to your life, especially considering you're into "fringe" fashion and get part of your info on a msg board.

then over the course of two trips to the shitter i read period by dennis cooper or something, my brother was reading it and there were quotes of praise all over it saying how genius it was so i figured why not. it was stupid as hell

Only a chapter in and its been a very good read. Heres an extract from the blurb,

"I overheard pros describing their winnings in inches of hundred dollar bills. But $15 million on the table? This much cash would weigh over 250 pounds."

That book started out good, but got pretty boring for me mid way. Do you play? I can't really see non-poker players liking the book, he uses a lot of jargon that might be confusing to some.

Toward the end when he started glorifying Larry Flynt, saying he helped all these women etc etc through pornography, I was like this guy is full of shit.
