Life has been pretty much revolving round the work we’re getting done to the house (side and rear extension and loft conversion) especially as we’re still living here. So it’s been nice to have a bit of a break over the Christmas period. I’m standing in my son’s new bedroom (from existing into the new extension). McCoys, Tender, Orgueil13 points

A few days ago, went back to my hometown briefly and saw some good friends, 25 years or more I've known all of these guys. None of us bowl, so it was a comedy of errors but a good time. The bowling alley in our town is almost no different than what it was in the 90's, save for the addition of electronic scorekeeping really. Even most of the arcade games are the same, though half were out of order. Whoever was running the jukebox had a great affinity for Ozzy and AC/DC. The t shirts were Creed centric. Almost like stepping in to the wayback machine. But, the place was busy!11 points

looks lurvely mk.2!!! thanks for sharing! @UkeNo - due to the sizing up (I have gone for a 40 assuming it will shrink to 38, but given stretch may go back to 40) I requested these as insurance! Generally pairs stop getting worn because they're too small but I worried I may have gone the other way; with this pair I wanted his lovely neat top block stitching with maximum leg volume; the cinch and the extra buttons hopefully will ensure maximum length of wear (fingers crossed at least) - I get the fomo when seeing @JRendon02's dynamic and chic 1942 pair... but I have been pining for a '37 so must commit (and I read lvc blabbology somewhere that levis used to supply extra suspender buttons to the ol' timers who bought 501s from post '37 so I put myself in that whitehaired camp rather than thinking I have a mashed up '33) - belt and/or braces for the next 18 months! and thanks to @MJF9 for getting the request through!6 points

Just received my pair of Fullcount 0105 WW2 brown denim edition and as you can see in the photos, they aren’t exactly ‘wide’ on me. Funnily enough, they probably fit me closer to an actual WW2 repro then what I imagine the 0105 is supposed to fit. Sized to a 29 for my natural waist which was snug but has already stretched out nicely. Based off the measurements on Bears however, I wasn’t expecting such snug thighs and top block. In the side profile photo you can see they are borderline skin tight on the upper thigh (I can probably pinch about 1.5cm of fabric off the upper thigh). I was really banking on being able to size for the waist given all the discussion I see online about their generous thighs and also by collating measurements across distributors so they are already hemmed — hoping the magical 13.7oz fabric stretches out in the thigh/top block. Can anyone speak to stretching in that area?1 point

I like the thinking/planning here and it’s great that they still keep the era specific details. I had no idea Levi’s shipped with spare suspender buttons in this period. Cool that Simone could make that spec for you. Very nice.1 point

Just picked these up. Pretty fantastic jeans and remarkably accurate for an unofficial Lee-pro. High waist, slightly fitted top block, full legs, very slightly tapered to around a 9.5 in hem on size 34. Hairy and inky but not super starchy or stiff 14.5 oz RH twill. Quality seems on par As you can see pretty close to stich for stich to the Lee Archives version of the 1936 Cowboy 101b. It was impossible to resist these pockets. So good. Fugazi Union tag in back pocket. Clever lot number. 36101 B1 point

Hmm yes, 'winky face' indeed. Nice to read but disappointing in the detail as usual. For example "Even the poorly done stitching on the waist belt is identical to the original". Looking at the two photos above that statement, it clearly isn't identical. The stitching in some of the other pics are different colours on the og compared to the lighter yellow of the repro. And l wish Sugarcane would take the flasher and ticket off for photo comparisons, as it blocks the view of the rear top block. Anyway I'm happy with my FW 1942'S 🙂1 point

He was killed in Korea a year or so after that photo was taken, so the fit is long, long gone. I do know that my dad wore my grandfather's M1943 field jacket until it fell apart though.1 point

As mentioned above, you can contact them directly via email here: https://www.timeworn-clothing.com/ My experience with this was, I emailed them asking whether there was a catalogue or currently in-stock list and was told you literally look on instagram and list the things you want based on what people have posted there. Definitely not what I was used to but thought fair enough.1 point
