Here are a few pics of the 1943 jeans (size 34), received yesterday. As I mentioned to b_F, I feel pretty young and trim for an old dude, but look old and fat -- and, of course, the camera doesn't lie. I also have the jeans hiked up a bit, as I just put them on for the photo. I suspect they'll come in a little with a wash and I hope to come in a little too (i.e., lose a few pounds).11 points

They fit you great John... We are around same age and I still think that my size is still the same. And always I have to solve tight waist after first soak 🐵1 point

I don’t think they shrink more Mr B, it’s just the cut. If they’re still on the Warehouse site, it should state the expected shrinkage and you can compare it with the expected shrinkage of other models that use the same denim. In addition, I remember Warehouse bringing out an S1001XX about 10 years ago with a bigger waist than the standard 1001XX in the same size. I think sizing down sounds sensible.1 point

I think the DSB denim used in all the ww2 models actually shrinks a little less than the other DSB denim. In my experience at least. I always get the same size in warehouse. Not all of the patterns work for me. But the ones that fit me well are always the same tag size. I have the 1946 s1001xx in my usual size but I haven’t washed them yet. They seem like they will end up about the right size, maybe a little larger than tag size.1 point

Oh man this is so tempting... If it's still up on Wednesday I think I'll send an offer.1 point

@smoothsailor It’s a bit of a mix I guess. I strongly prefer full leather uppers for reasons unrelated to aesthetics, but the way they age is a nice bonus It surprised me to see how much they’ve darkened up—if you’d asked me before I ordered the replacements, I would have guessed they started off brown1 point

I have to wonder where in the process this was seen as a good move. Especially since the brand already carries -ws products in stock on ms at the moment, there are many available substitutions at a lower price point. I get that ACR isnt supposed to care blah blah, but it feels like a poorly thought out release and like a project that will never break even. I dont see these selling. I agree with the gripes about the J100 title too, wasted opportunity.1 point

Alas the Ooe type 2 did not work out The measurements on the actual jacket were significantly less those quoted by the seller - hence it doesn't fit me. Yahoo seller said shoulder 53.5 cm - it's 4cm less. And chest is 2cm less than quoted. Annoying but you pay your money and take your chances. Lovely jacket though!!! And it is now up for grabs. I'll post it on the sales thread and it's up on Grailed - however do DM me to discuss costs!! There is a write up on it here Actual sizing (it looks like it's been washed already, tagged as 44) Pit to Pit - 59.5cm Shoulders to seams - 49.5cm Arm outside - 59.5cm Length 58.6cm1 point

My first thoughts too. They had a chance to drop a reworked First Edition Kit or just a 1:1 version made from modern materials, with posters from Rudnick, maybe some VA album on USB from Raster Noton etc. The J100-WS is ugly as hell though and definitely not worthy of the J100 title.1 point

The contrast stitching plays a big role and can deceive your eyes. If you want a pair of black jeans which look black it's better to use tonal stitching (IMO).1 point

Hi guys, I'm sure you've seen this on Resolute's IG but just wanted to share a photo of the Resolute GB (Ghost Black) which will be released on 2025. Here side by side is how it looks new versus worn for about a year.. even new, it doesn't have a very deep black color, almost like a deep indigo/navy which I really like.1 point

So... after a tip-off from our very own Mr Denime (thank you @beautiful_FrEaK), these 10th Anniversary Orrizonti era in a 1937 style cut landed Some rough and ready fit pics First pics are raw; second after a cold machine wash, a 30C machine wash and after wearing today I'll post measurements later for those interested. The rise is definitely lower than I usually go for but they're growing on me. I'll need to see @Mr Black for a hem soon1 point

Here are the Kyoto fit pics. I don’t really gravitate towards these cuts at the moment, but the pattern on these is really well done. I still wish that the rise was a bit higher. These seem like Resolute 710 through the legs and 711 in the rise. Regardless I quite like them and I’ll probably get used to a lower rise again after wearing these for a bit. The more that I look at them, the less wear that I think they’ve had. I’d be surprised if they’ve been worn more than 10 times and washed more than 1 or 2 times. I promise to still grab some macro shots of the details and denim when I get some time and the lighting is better.1 point

I wouldn't say the handsewn is inherently higher quality. The resulting look is slightly different. I have a pair of Alden shell tassel loafers (from shoe mart factory seconds, with possibly fewer imperfections than my first quality models -- that's a tale for another time), and I like the machine stitch on the apron. It's a bit "neater" and that makes it a bit dressier than the handsewn, which works for what I wear them for. Of course, if you are going for something more casual, then that won't be an issue. I think there is a place for both.1 point

Just saw some info about the next "Super Denim Collectibles" I wasn't sure there would be more but it was also said there are 8 possible items. Next ones: 1942 jeans 1945 jeans 1945 jacket1 point
