  1. Small update on my 03s, a little over three months of wear so far. Aiming for a little more contrast, at least initially. Will likely wear them another month or so before washing.

  2. RMC Buco Engineers bought at RMC in Tokyo circa 2019! I haven't worn them an insane amount but adds up over the years especially with east coast weather. Gotta clean 'em up soon but thought I'd post them with all their patina before that. Jeans are RJB D105-14FW

  4. Today is his birthday so my brother finally got to see and try on the jeans. He said it's the best gift I've given him yet. I learned a couple weeks ago how a yoke is actually supposed to work, so there's a bit of bunching on the yoke that I wish they didn't have, but he doesn't care. I treated it like a single dart on the center back seam and did not put a curve in the pattern where it attached to the back panels. Lesson learned, and it also explains why the yoke on my pair is a little off too. Next pair will be better, and I'm already thinking about what I wanna do. He thinks the flaws are charming though, so he's happy. (Dorky shirt tuck was just to show the fit of the jeans)

  5. They are similar but different. They are like bookends. Your 1937 model are at the beginning of the hidden rivets/cinchback era model, whereas the 1942 are at the end of this era model. I think apart from the difference in denim and colour of buckle, it's only the 'left over right' back panels that have a different set up.

  6. Did a search and didn't get any hits so pretty sure this hasnt been brought up for discussion before... Looks like MSCHF is doing a collab release with acr... Not really feeling these myself, but have a look and see for yourselves.. like a bizzaro version of the AF1's, done in MSCHF's typical wavy style. https://mschf.com/shop/super-normal-2-acronym-ag

  7. I just washed my 01’s - no idea the amount of wear, but it’s got to be close to 3 months (I first wore them over a year ago). I thought some fades would show more than they did because the creases were really, really set. Nothing much to show right now though. A tiny bit of whiskering, the coin pocket fade is the most visible. I think some creases will move due to more shrinkage? Ultimately this pair is going to get washed a lot, my preference these days, so it’s all good. But yes, it seems a little stubborn.

  8. That's really some stubborn denim. 3 months wear in total or 3 months par of the rotation?

  9. No name vintage engineer/harness boots just arrived. Have bought and sold a few pairs of engineer boots this year because they were either too bulky or too low heeled but found these last week and took a chance. Could do without the zipper but it allows for the elegant slimmer profile and the cowboy heel is a perfect height. The soles need new rubber and the heel caps are brittle but the fit is ace. Great patina too. These might be the ones.

  10. I use my coin pocket, for coin people in line behind me at the cash register, don’t like it, nor the cassiere. Especially when the pocket is real small. but that’s why there are self scan registers

  11. They touched down today and are by far the coolest pair of Sugar Cane jeans I’ve owned. Amazing fabric, details and fit. This is probably the 7th pair of SC’s I’ve owned and already my favorite.

  12. I find wants often turn into needs hahaha. But l hear you mate, l'm down for one item per year max over the last 2 or 3 years so buying a jacket and jeans will see me through until 2026 at least!

  13. @beautiful_FrEaK yup pretty stubborn, three months total being the main pair that I’ve been wearing. I’ll throw a different pair into the mix every now and then, but that’s been infrequent. So maybe realistically two months of actual wear.

  14. @Dr_Heech yes the left sewn separately from the right, different denim, and black buckle are only differences Thank you for reminding me the 1942 are a want not a necessary need since I have the 1937 already. Trying to buy less this year haha

  16. @bboysparrow My man! All the things bboysparrow stated about me as a seller are easily said about him as a buyer too! Super polite, quick replies, and, most of all, he refunded me the difference in the Paypal fees without me even asking (because apparently it's 5.5% for international payments instead of the usual 4%). If you're dealing with bboysparrow, please rest assured it'll be an awesome experience, doesn't matter if he's the buyer or the seller!! Couldn't have asked for a better first experience here on Sufu 😊

  17. @Sarazan One of the best buying experiences I have ever had. Bought the V91-WS. Insanely quick response, great detail in his messages. He offered to take pics/video of the entire packaging and shipping process at the post office. Shipped super fast. Gave tracking fast. All sellers should be like him.

  20. These arrived today. Hi back trousers in salt and pepper over dyed chambray. The fabric is amazing in person. Very light, will be great for summer. The color is the most accurate in the last picture, sort of a grayish brown.

  24. the 1937 is just such a killer pair of jeans @Dr_Heech I was really telling myself I don’t need the 1942s since they’re supposed to be pretty similar to the 1937 but I love the offset rear pocket detail.

  25. update to this post, that I should been done few weeks ago After research, I came to conclusion that package got stolen somewhere in between me and dcl_max On my side, I have video of unboxing, but it was already out of the post office. There is no video of packing and sending pants from seller, but after considering all feedback, reviews and other circumstantial evidence I don't think that @dcl_max scammed Pity, I couldn't retrieve the pants after all, but that's live, I guess Thanks @Yan90 for help with unban

  26. thanks for the vote of confidence @julian-wolf! Jared's advice above is pretty much how I wear my post overalls vest that has the nearest dimensions (but is a lightweight material); they go weirdly well with cut off military cargos / shorts (or oversized Nigel Cabourn) and logo t-shirt more than 'heritage' / 'rugged' stylistic agenda... This upcoming Ooe offering is fairly heavy material? The downwards bellow of the style is pretty equivalent to a chore coat but without the balance of the sleeves and collar: it has to be balanced by something else... The half-moon pockets are absolutely design grail for me, but is not something that pairs easy with a Canadian tux... am currently looking over recent-ish filson vests (80s/90s) too; has the half-moon on one side, with less bounce at the bottom, and pockets for days... but these def. lean away from elegance into something more blocky and very much pointing to external wear, not desk warrior... also quite a fan of this one from Soundman...

  29. I've worn the denim vest quite a bit. I have it in the largest size they offered. I also bought the duck vest one size down (Hiro's opinion was that it was too small but after examining the test photo from Inspiration I liked the look so I got it after the fact from S&S). That light weight kind of denim doesn't seem to show wear very fast. I'll examine it tonight & see if it's worth photographing. As far as practicality goes, it will hold a bunch of stuff especially if sizing up for a loose fit. Pockets everywhere including the internal game pockets. I've considered trying put one of the terriers in there. Might have a go tonight lol. Update - dog didn't quite fit...

  31. Meanwhile, the one thing I have from Bronson that hasn’t fallen apart has been a really huge success Wore this most days for probably around 2–3 years from ~2016 onwards, and even now it still sees a few days of sunlight each month Great denim, great execution. Overall I probably prefer the Union Special version, but not by a large margin
