I havent seen enough praise/crap posts by any one person to be shilling, but I guess anything is possible. It is very common on gaming forums for people to be paid to post good things about a game/company to help hype up a company.

a paranoid is someone who knows a little of whats going, one literary giant once said.

i don't doubt a second that it occurs, probably mainly in the street x hype sector. what i do doubt is that supertalk-owners has some role in it. it is simply what would be called buzz/viral marketing and is apparent at several forums and institutions for different sub-groups.

but who gives? you regularly know what you like. you might be affected in the means of recognizing the brand/whatever, but not manipulated.

i'm beginning to accept the fact that we have super-industries with a straight-cut moneymaking-agenda on their minds, but as long as they don't thrash the whole thing i'm satisfied.

i think that there's definitely a couple people that are paid for browsing here. i go to a business skool and i found out that people are hired by the publishing firms to put up a positive review whenever one of their books gets a negative one. so browsing these forums is definitely not suprising to me.
