we're not talking about whether you like em or not... btw, we don't have to listen to what you like since you're wearing the uggliest watch ever, the proof of no taste at all

macdonalds is franchise, could be they were made for one restaurant. and if that restaurant would be next to or close by an evisu store, it's not such a bad idea after all

Hi,

Im new to the forum, so hello to you all..

ive been looking at this thread for a while..

Theres a few questions about what the numbers mean, the no1, no2 etc.. to ,my knowledge is down to to the quality of the producst, eg no1 is the best .. no2 is second... more mainstream less cost than the no1's

I have a few questions,

If you look at the studs on the mcdonalds jeans..

http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r12602406

and the japan website jeans...

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/d-stock/540682/606601/

you will see that they are exactly the same, so my first question is ... have the counterfiters started to use them studs in their jeans? i have no interest in the mcdonalds jeans, i ask only because i have bought 2 pairs in the past (which i havent even wore yet) and the studs are the same as what is shown on the japanese stores, and i was guarenteed that they are 100% authentic japanese evisu..i have checked them against other pics on japanese webstores, but can find no real differences...infact here is a pic to one of them....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52796&item=6767421399

my next question is does anybody know if these jeans are genuine:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3979374759&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

i have a couple of more pics.... and i have seen them in real life at my local flannels/harvey nicks for £350.00, so i purposely ordered the exact same pair so i could compare, the thing is i have paid for them yet, so if anyone can confirm they are fake...and know why, then i wont go through with the sale.

and does anyone know why on the japanese website tags does it say evis..and not evisu? i ask because on the same couple of pairs i have, they didnt come with tags, and the bags said evis on:

img02665636.jpg

lastly, i know there is alot of fake evisu going about in the u.k which is ruining the brand, but then again there are fakes in almost everything, most brands can out do the fakes, and im sure evisu will survive...as for the evisu eu ed i think its aload of crap, and im starting to believe that if my yamane did really believe in his brand so much, why had he decided to cash in on it- because thats exactly what evisu eu ed is doin, becoming an available high street brand...but then again if theres money to be made why not?

I'd like to say im a huge evisu fan i have 10 pairs of euro evisu....and 3 pairs of japan evisu, along with 2 pairs of evisu puma, all of which are authentic, and i paid alot of money for all of them!!! ive tried edwin..i actually bought them from ebay on buy it now a couple of months back for about £45, but as someone has stated..it turns out that they are high end fakes!..good thing ive never worn them!..but in all honest they dont look fake and the quality is amazing! id prob sell em if anyones interested! but if there fake there fake!

to my knowledge there is four main types of evisu..

evis - the orginal jean it self, before the trouble with levis

evisu japan - the red tab ones, which are usually narrower...and the sizes are more precise. dont have serial on inside.,,i think

evisu euro - usually the no.2 jeans..like http://www.rakuten.co.jp/d-stock/540682/606389/ - usually have serial on inside.

evisu eu ed - the crap.

and another thing i have realised..is the evisu euro sizes for the t-shirts jumpers hoodys e

The selvedge on the Evisu jeans from eBay doesn't look like the original selvedge.

The bottom picture is how they should look. You can see a big difference, so I would say they are fake.

there are also a couple of other differences with the original: the leather patch has a different letterfont and the gull seams printed (at least not handpainted, what it should be). another thing: it has made in japan on the tag inside, this could mean it is the japan edition, but i don't know whether there is a japan edition of these (my guess would be no, which means they are fake). besides of how they look, there are a lot of these for sale on ebay, a bit dodgy to me...

hello,

I'm new to evisu, and I have some questions:

1. is there a basic guide to identify fake / genuine evisu?

2. what are the common sites with genuine evisu , and lots of pictures?

3. I'm interested in the 21 Pocket jeans, who can get hold of it, or tell me where I can buy it (I come from Germany)... http://www.rakuten.co.jp/mam/424826/637562/637751/ is this a fake?? doest have the Paris tag...

4. Does this seller sell genuine stuff: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52789&item=6786369425 ?

THX ..keep on discussing :)

Jizzy:

1. Well, first of all look after the selvedge. Secondly, you should look if there's hidden rivets in the inside back of the jeans. If you're buying on online auctions, you might want to ask for the receipt and for detailed photos of the jeans.

Here's some pictures of my Evisu jeans that I recieved today:

I think this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it with a search. Does anyone know the significance of the selvege color as related to the country of manufactuting? I have a pair where one side of the selvage is light blue and the other side is white, but I can't figure out where they were made.

I'm so self-conscious...

Bing Bing. The selvage was originally made and named differently, the selvage is named from the collection; e.g. Heritage, Mens, Deluxe and so forth.

Philipo. Yes, Rue de Fabourge Honore (Or whatever its spelled) carries Evisu Paris, top floor. The one in Sawille Row does as well, I believe.

Kaew. No real point in asking in reciepts internationally, there is too many outlets for Evisu, common sense should guide you.

K13something. There is definitely more kind of jeans just due to the large amount of collections being produced. I would say there is 7-8 kinds of Evisu jeans, not counting EV.

dress badly on purpose.

I've had a pair of Evisu with the painted gulls on the back pockets for around 3 years now but have only worn them 4-5 time due to the fact that I just can't seem to get down with the huge gulls on the pocksts

Question is: Is there a simple way to remove or lighten the painted gulls? I love the cut of the jean but just can't seem to bring myself to wearing them.

I don't know much about Evisu but the patch on the back reads Lot 0001 and the gulls are a yellowish color.

If there is no way to really fade or remove the gulls can anyone reccomend a pair of jeans with a similar cut?

Quote: as if its gona b uniform moron

It very could well be.

McDonalds has been collaborating with designers around the world to "revamp" the uniforms.

In america, Diddy, Ralph Lauren, Russel Simmons, Tommy Hil, Rocawear, Fubu, Abercrombie are all in consideration. While in Brasil, Alexandre Herchcovitch has already started redesigning their uniforms.
