Anybody have any thoughts on the John Lofgren engineers in CXL vs. the new Badalassi leather ones? I know CXL, but Badalassi is an unknown entity for me. What are the relative merits of each?

Just the shirt and wabash pants are Freewheelers, the hat, bandana, and duck pants are Lofgren, socks are a brand called Chup.

The tags on the Freewheelers stuff are worthy of a photo essay on their own, so much work went into making them awesome.

I'm wearing them right now, I didn't soak them, John said they shouldn't shrink. These are my most...theatrical? pants by far, it's taking some getting used to, but I do like them. Will do some fits eventually, once I feel like I really know how to wear them.

Hey Marineabilly, off topic, but if I wear a size 7.5 Road Champ do you think a size 8 would fit me in RRL Murdock, the second non-Julian made version.

^ I own RC's in 7.5 and 8 and had the Julian-made RRL's in a size 8.  They fit exactly as my 7.5 RC's.  Not familiar with Murdock sizing.

Thanks! I think the sizing is similar on the Julian and Rios versions. I might take a shot and pick up a pair on ebay. I love your blog, marine. Show us how you switch out those WESCO buckles for roller buckles! I'm going to do the same on my WESCOs. I'll take mine to a cobbler tho...
