Dont worry, its not a post from me if it doesnt include food photos

Tried out the "Shiok!" burger. It contains chicken floss, guacamole, special sauce, beef, onion rings, tomato, lettuce & cheese.

Upgraded to Curry Cheese fries as well and they were to die for. Dad had the chilli cheese dog and onion rings.

Ordered the Char Kuay Teow (Stirfry seafood noodles with chinese sausages and cockles),

Dad had the chinese rojak (Random meats, cuttlefish, fishballs, fried beancurd skin),

Mom had the Hainanese white chicken.

from an all day sunday ride

i live in the embassy district of beijing, and i love how quiet everything is at night and on the weekends, particularly southern chaoyang, where my favorite breakfast place happens to be. stopped there sunday for beer and breakfast.

a tall yanjing, biscuits and gravy, and a breakfast scramble later i was ready for the day.

i still hadn't been to the temple of heaven, so we kept riding south past the beijing train station.

this dude was working hard...

spent a good deal of time just wandering the park. there was a small band playing here, patriotic songs, everyone in the whole place was joining in singing. pretty great experience actually.

the tourist shot. pretty damn neat place, actually, and i love the park, will come here often when the weather warms up a bit.

came back up north and rode a few laps around the forbidden city. there's a small access road you can get on which takes you past the main gate and right outside the walls on the inside of the moat. there's no traffic and it's a great place to just hang out.

ate dinner at my favorite small japanese place. tonight, tonkatsu with rice and i shared a beef udon soup with my friend. two big bottles of kirin of course.

got a few bottles of my current favorite french wine on my way back to the apartment and called it a night.

I was in four continents this Feb, HKG (Asia), YYZ (North America), FRA (EU) and SCL/EZE (South America)

here are some pictures from my SCL trip, mostly food...

I had Chilean Wagyu Beef Steak Cube Roll Cut for two days in a row, for only $47CAD, it's amazing

on a BMS (Beef Marbling Scale), this steak scores around a 7 (max is 12, high grade North American steak scores @ around 5).. level 9 are usually exported outside of Chile due to the lack of domestic demand.

Cow is fed with grass/corn mixed with alcohol and other grains. It is allowed to free roam around the pastures in the Andes area. Though Chilean Wagyu beef rivals its Australian counterparts, it still doesn't reach the level on Japanese Wagyu though.

But for the price, I would take a piece of Chilean Wagyu every damn day.

The first few are from a very well known steak house called the ox and I had the Chilean Prime Rib. The next are from Cuerovaca, where I had my Wagyu. It was a nice trip with lots of drinking and eating.

been a while since i last updated but today i finally made a long awaited trip to a new local store called Tuckshop & Sundry Supplies. situated in a very culturally rich area unique to singapore, you will see that it is along the same stretch as one of the most important mosques in singapore. while it is an area with a rich heritage, sometimes it is inevitable that in a small but fast growing city, you see a but of modernisation in the area as well.

TSS stocks brands like Mister Freedom, Dry Bones, Iron Heart, Red Cloud & Co, Railcar Fine Goods and of course also the Obbi Good Label leather goods. what caught my eye mostly was the californians. might pick them up in a couple of months pending funds but they are definitely a really attractive pair.

at the end of this street you see the sultan mosque

Started wearing my sz30 2009 SExSFxDB jeans on account of not working out and getting skinnier (thighs have gone down from like 25.5" to 23" or so) over the last year.

Just did a quick errand in my bike wearing them, figuring being skinnier means that they wouldn't be uncomfortable to ride a bike in since I wasn't uncomfortable wearing them any more.

It was only a short ride, but my legs basically had no oxygen getting to them and it was pretty much anaerobic all the way. I was absolutely heaving by the time I got to the post office. I haven't felt that awful from such unstrenuous activity in years. I don't think I'm skinny enough to wear them on a bike, yet.

satchelbmoore sighting! I really wanted to make it to snowgrade. I was on my way to hook up w/Satchel and our buddy Steve the barber, but halfway there I had to double back to a project in the ass-end of the suburbs :(

I had some downtime on this one. The other carpenter broke his ankle (non-job related) so I had to sift for a short-notice substitute. We're back to the serious glamour now.

It's nice to have sharable photos. Usually don't have time to consider this while working, aside from portfolio stuff kept private for referral.
