Motorhead is my favourite rock'n'roll band ever (after the Ramones). They play fast and loud. The concert was really great but I'll be deaf for some days now.

We were in Venice last night. There was the Redentore festival, the biggest venetian celebration after the Carnival. Trust me, when venetians do party, they make some big party. It was fun indeed.

They shoot these fireworks for 4o minutes from the boats in the Laguna. Cool.

Later all the people moved to Piazza San Marco again. There was a DJ playng some nice, classy mediterranean tunes. The atmosphere was magical and timeless.

It is good to adjust the cuff height so that you don't get the cuffs "cracking" where they are folded. I repair the bottom of my jeans every couple of months to prevent the cuffs from ripping off.

I foung these street merchants today. They were selling military clothing, mostly stuff of the italian army. I got some military boots for quite cheap, These will be my new trekking boots.

The leather quality is decent for a military boot and it's ok for 75 euro.

When I was going away they had a police inspection. They looked a bit worried...

Seal fat is pretty good to nourrish and protect your heavy duty boots from water. We use this in France for hunting boots and so. Is it really dated from 1941? That must smell pretty strong!!

Last night my girlfriend and me went to the SHOUT!-wild'n'crazy twistin' party-

I liked Los Explosivos from Mexico very much. They play garage punk

These guys come from Australia and play some 'drunken gipsy punk' they're called Juke Baritone and the swamp dogs. Me no likes.

Later played World/Inferno Friendship Society feat. Brian Viglione from NY (bizarre punk cabaret orchestra)

This is the place I'm liking this summer. It's called Val di sogno (=Dream Valley). I like it cause it's never too crowded and a bit windy. A nice, chilling place.

Later we moved to Malcesine, one of my favourite places on the 'veronese' side of the lake. I felt like a tourist taking pics around.

The most popular pre-dinner drink in the north of Italy is the infamous SPRITZ Campari.

It's made with 1/2 Prosecco wine, 1/2 Red Campari, ice and a slice of orange.

I usually have some plain wine but I wanted to show you guys what a spritz is.

My girlfriend had the 'white version': 1/2 Prosecco, 1/2 mineral water, ice, lemon!

Speck Stube is a nice place to dine in Malcesine. There's a nice panorama and you sit under the olive trees. They cook typical dishes from Tirol. Tirol is the very very northern part of Italy. Technically it's in Italy but basically it's Austria. Well, they cook a lot of chickens and porks in this place. It's always crowded all day long.

I got chicken with krauts

Atzec surely knows this stuff is good

She got chicken with fries

Cucumbers I love them ehm. (does this sound gay?)

And a good Weizen beer to make it all go down
