I've not seen much mention of Haversack on this forum.

I spent a long time looking for a good pea coat. This is almost an inch thick in places and the quality surpasses anything else I've ever come across and I include Buzz Rickson / Mr. Freedom.

I love Haversack and I believe you are right, they don' get enough attention on here. That P Coat is awesome. I'd love to see one in person.

I'm selling a pair of Buzz Rickson 1942 (size 32) Chinos for 90 bucks. I just tried them on after losing a fair amount of weight, and they're a bit too loose in the waist. They've hardly been worn. PM me!

I realize the purpose of the smooth linings... The point was it is a "vintage Jacket". They didn't scrimp on the real mutton or wool lining... They could have used a fabric from the time to line the sleeves. What are real vintage deck jackets lined in?

Ahh, I see your point.

I'd say since the 50's or so sleeve linings would probably be rayon or nylon. before that: cotton? silk? wool?

Buzz Rickson would know!

I don't think Spiewak is always the most authentically motivated brand ;)

still, very nice jacket for the price
