Thanks beatle, this is good to know coming from you! However, I didn't get maximum shrinkage, I should've added boiling water to keep the temp. steady but I fell asleep. After the next soak they should be perfect-perfect.

I think you made the right call sizing down. The top block doesn't look extremely tight in the photos, and the jeans are already cut rather full through the legs. I would definitely soak them and hem them though other than that, nice purchase.
