funny how all of you come to defend apc, to start off, every fucken jeans rip off levi's.....

H&M does simply just copy the trendy european design, but again, 96% of our ideas regardless how original it seems, it has been done, so in a sense we are still coping each other.

H&M is fashion trendy thing, they make things dont last long just like ikea, it's trendy so u want some thing new every season, and i could understand that. and in a way i like that, i like seeing new thing on a constant daily basis, if eveything last forever who would go out and buy something new anymore?

I have a pair of &denim and they fit similar to New Standards (plus they are unwashed denim).

Horizontal striped wool sweaters as well- APC has these.

Last time I went to H&M lots of items were yelling "APC" at me.

So now, what is your problem? Are you and H&M dating? Did H&M bring you soup when you had the flu?

by the way, I've been seeing a lot of slim jeans, dark/raw jeans and stripey jumpers lately, from pretty much every brand out there. This is so blatant, APC should sue!

first of all h&m stuff doesn't just fall apart, agreed it's not top quality but it's not crap either, some of their stuff is actually really good, example: the dress shirts as mentioned before.

in their price range h&m offers great quality and nice designs (although a lot of rip-offs). i prefer buying the basic stuff at h&m instead off buying some desinger stuff that is way overpriced. so h&m is just a great store for buying the basic stuff, that way you can save a lot of money and spend that on really special designer stuff!

anyway just my thoughts...

If you find H&M interesting - which I do, considering their prices - you should check out what TopShop are up to. Amazing turnover, if ever you want an M65-style jacket, for instance, they'll have various different takes on it, leather jackets that look like 70s vintage... they're terrific value for money with, I reckon, a higher hit rate than H&M.

Opening Ceremony - which houses Topshop is MEAN! and not nice to customers! For weeks, I've been very excited and wanted to go to this store, I had read about it in dailycandy.com. So I got a gift from someone that wasn't quite me and wanted to go exchange it. The Asian girl - who I assume was manager was not nice to me - she had a very nasty attitude that I could tell - she was trying very hard to conceal. Then she said that I didn't have a receipt (of course not! it's a GIFT!!!) and that I could NOT get a store credit and that I had to exchange it TODAY only. I said to her - whoo... I'm living on $2 bucks here, I don't get paid til Friday! I have NEVER heard of such a return policy in my entire life, have you?!! So I look around and everything sucks! There's NOTHING sexy or girly. It's very weird avant gardish shit and the only designer I know is Alexandre Herchcovich and the stuff they chose to carry was ridiculous! So I went up to Topshop - it's more fun stuff but still - sucky merchandise! I was very tempted to call my sister up and drag her over to pick something for herself but she's a size 00 and everything here is BIG!!! Hey this shop is in NYC where every girl is a size 00. The smallest size they carry at Top Shop is a 4! and I tried this yellow/ mixed colored dress on that was on the verge of getting runs all over it cuz it's so delicate and it was too big! Not very sexy. Anyway, after spending 2 hours trying to make up my mind between ugly and uglier - I finally chose to purchase this necklace and I decided to put out $100 of my own money... and the Nasty manager says that it's not our policy to hold anything, you don't have a receipt, I said to her it's a gift! and I'm spending my own money !!! so finally they decide to hold it for me til Friday and she didn't even give me a receipt for items returned! I had to ask her if she was going to remember me and if she was going to BE there on Friday! and the other sales boy finally asks me what my name was but that was in jest, because no one wrote anything down. This place sucks and I will never go back in there. The only reason they have a buzz is because the clothes are so ugly, they become "hip". I don't recommend it to anyone, the merchandise is ridiculous and BIG! and don't even think about buying your dear friend a present from this place! really, I wouldn't even give this place a star rating - it's more like a negative 100 star rating. Nasty attitude from the manager! Can you imagine?

H&M is good for basics, thermals, solid t's and shit like that. Don't go into h&m and buy a suit and expect it not to fall apart on you, and the jeans are all terrible but the &denim line isn't that bad, dry jean wise. The washes they have are all tacky and disgusting.
