Raw for Women

I went to American Rag today and I tried on the raw Nudies someone reccomended to me which were a GREAT fit and I really loved them...however I opted for some grey non-raw Hysteric Glamours because I can't get those anywhere else, and in a few days I'm going to Self Edge so hopefully I can find the same Nudies there or get a similar raw jean. I tried on a lot of guys jeans too, there were very few tiny pairs sadly...I really wanted a pair of PRPS but none small enough for me.

the SEXIHO1's look really good on you two.

Hello~

I'm having some trouble with buying raw denim...

I never had a good pair jeans before and I want them nice and sturdy. I came across raw jeans a few months ago and have been interested since then :P. Problem is..I have no clue which brand to buy and it's so much trickier to buy since I'm a girl. I looked at nudies, apc, skull and etc.

At first I wanted a pair of nudies but then I realized I didn't really like the back design..it's a little to manly or something.. i dont really know how to explain it. However...I saw this and kinda want a pair now hahaha

The only problem I have with it is that it doesnt look tapered enough? I'm not too sure thought because the model is wearing heels. But it looks nice on her.

I really really want skull linda or pure blue slim (http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=3590&category_id=&manufacturer_id=9&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=28&vmcchk=1) ...but I don't know how to get them. Should I buy them online? I'm a little weary of buying jeans online because they never fit right...and I don't know which sites are legit! I read through the threads and I think I'm supposed to buy them like a size smaller or something but still...if they don't fit wouldn't I be a little screwed?(because I can't return it?)

But....There's a retailer around my area that sells apc jeans..so should I try that first and then move on to something else?

I wish there were more pics in this thread so I can decide haha

I think a few places online will let you return jeans, or at least exhange them. Really your best bet though is find somewhere you can try them on, or find someone on the forums that has similar measurements and compare that way - other than that, just get some of your own personal measurements and compare them with some websites for the correct fit - and hopefully if they don't fit correctly you should be able to exchange for a different size.

PBJ from Blue in Green is a very nice choice.

You'll have to use a proxy to get Skull Lindas... they're a pretty amazing pair of jeans but it's not very slim. I would suggest taking them to a tailor and tapering them down... though the length and cut of every other aspect of the jean is spot on.

Don't be afraid to size down.

They're not supposed to fit correctly the first try right? I guess I should get it tight and then stretch them out. The raw jeans I'm looking at are all around the same price like 150ish and I think for my first raw..I might try apc :] I'm so excited to get a pair...I think I'm going down there like next week.

I denfinitely want the PBJ but the sizing is still sketchy for me. I recently bought a pair of crappy guys jeans and boy they didn't fit right lol. I just wanted to see how different guys and girls jeans are and well..It wasn't tapered enough and long enough for decent stacking and the crouch area looked funky haha.

For the person who said Skull Linda 0 is a size 27.

My 00s fit like 24s. Maybe 23-24. And are completely untapered. I have to fold them in to avoid stepping on them. They're really great though, very thick and fuzzy.

Also the SSKs are tapered quite a bit, Venus. What size are you?

Agree with Sidneylo totally. PBJ's are awesome, but sizing is truly off on the ladies cuts. I have not personally tried any of the mens PBJ's.

Arisu looks great in her skull lindas, maybe check through her posts to see a fit pic of them. They are a great option.

So the fit of the pbj women's is off? I'm just wondering because I'm looking to get my girl a a new pair of raws for her birthday. Maybe some of you you can offer advice. she needs a low rise, tapered fit. She has a pair of good society skinny cut that look great on her but she wears those out and the wesc rinse wash she got stretched too much and look awful so she nees a new pair now. I think lindas are probably too straight legged. Maybe a slim kim comfort as they don't have the ugly ass designs? Any other suggestions?

Brock, I personally found the fit off on PBJ's for women. They run very very slim. So if your girl has skinny thighs and legs she will be just fine. Streching the hips and thighs was a chore. The waist is fine though. And as for the measurements on big, they are a tad off.

I have booty and can get them on, it was a struggle though. Once I stretched them they were good but still snug in the thighs. So if she is muscular there maybe trying one of the other ladies jeans would work best. It is tough for us gals finding a pair that truly fits good. But they are out there, maybe take her on a shopping trip??

Every girl loves that right?

Hahaa...

because you mention your gf has some curves, 100 percent cotton denim is not a good option because she'll have a hard time feeling comfortable while stretching them out.

you could always get another pair of the good society skinnies. the nudies slim kim still have the stitching on the pockets, but i've seen most people remove them with a seam ripper. if you do it right away, you can't tell there was stitching there in the first place.

I hope this helps with sizing, but I wear a 24/25 in most brands (Diesel, SFAM, Sling & Stones) and I ordered the PBJ 1070 (Slim Flare) from BiG in size 0 and I had to wet stretch them to get them on and buttoned.

Here's a fit pic on me:

material.jpgthe denim is really nice too

the photos on BIG's website makes it appear the leg opening is really wide and unattractive, but they look much better in photo! how do you like the one wash? i am thinking of getting the women's slim.

Thanks for your help so far, it looks like it's between the pure blue slim fit or slim kims or tight long johns. I actually think the long johns are a bit skinnier. Could any of you with good society's help with sizing in either pure blues or nudies? She's a 27 in the gs.

Dont forget about ALD's Versatilette for women...a bit more on the "straighter" side, not tapered or anything. Though I love how they fit women.

And though I'd love to get my girl some Japanese denimz, Im gonna go with some Long Johns for her first pair.

Brock she will need a size 2 in PBJ's if she wears a 27 in Good society. She will maybe even like a 3. I have them and am very similar in size to your girlfriend and 2's are tighhhhhtttttttttttt. But after the last couple months of wearing them they have stretched out significantly. So if she is hippish(which I think you said she was) go for 3's.

As for long johns I say one size up from her regular jean size and you are good. I sized up two and they where too big. Hope that helps.
