hi im a noob to dior denim but what is the overall difference between the mii and the mij raw 19cm?

is the 100 dollar price difference really that worth it? is the quality for the mij really that much better

are the fits different? and which one will fade faster, better and stretch less?

What varieties of Dior Homme denim are offered?

Besides the cut, Dior Homme denim is available in a “Made in Japan†(MIJ) version and a “Made in Italy†(MII) version. MIJ denim is of higher quality, tapers more, stretches less and costs more than the MII counterpart. The MIJ version, however, also has slightly larger back pockets than the MII version.

I needed some commuter jeans, so I picked up these MIMs on here a few weeks ago for super cheap. 19cm arent skinny enough so I got them tapered like the others.

They had been worn on/off for 1 yr and one wash when I got them, but I have worn them everyday for 2 weeks as Im trying to increase the honeycombs...already workin since theyre much skinnier now:)

Also! they are NOT smelly. Although not as thick as MIJ raws, these are definitely thicker than my sharp notations.

Anyone have experiences with both pbj 011 and dior raw mij 19cm? How do they compare in terms of the taper? Thankss

When i tried them on at BIG, the legs fit tighter than my MIJ 19cm. My MIJ 19cm are size 29 and I think the 011 I tried on were size 30.

Picked up a pair of used DH jeans off yahoo japan a little bit ago. They are a 17.5cm cut (actual hem about 16cm), size 28, MIJ... fit and feel a lot like super slenders. The material is 97% cotton 3% polyester so they have some stretch and are very comfy. Button fly so I'm assuming KVA. Never really seen this model before (these used to be raw) but really like the cut. Do they make a stretchy-ish raw in the 17.5cm? Tag with the ref number has been washed out.

yea, both hedi and kris released 17.5cm mij stretch raws. i have the black mij 17.5cm stretch raws from 06 and blue 17.5cm sheers from 08. fit of hedi's pair is better on top. kva's pair has this stupid high back rise which doesn't look good with the stretch material (you can see it in pic two). very nice fit otherwise tho.

btw, for this season or previous season, the boutiques have been selling the silver selvedge version of the stretch 17.5cm indigo raws. i hear they're very nice.

Yeah, I do like hedi's rise a lot better, the kva is a bit short in front and long in the back as you said. I'll keep my eye's out for the hedi era stretch raws, thanks for the help!

btw, what's the color of the stitching? i can't seem to tell if it's contrast orange/yellow, or faded tonal blue. if it's blue, than those may be a washed pair of blue sheers which have blue tonal stitching.

on a second look, that's deff blue stitching. which means those are washed out blue sheer from 08. nice, i have the same pair. this is what they look like brand new:

i guess it matters how tight you want them. I did TTS for washed Diors but when I got my raws, I followed most people's advice here and sized down 2. I probably should have sized down only by 1

copped somme made in maroc raws 19cm. dont understand the hate! they are quite nice and feel good and have a nice sheen.

also nice to have a red selvedge line on diors because they look good a little cuffed and will still have plenty of stacking

i kopped the 17.5 silver selvage. they're pretty sweet, kva managed not to screw these up.

Have any of you guys had any waist alterations done, if yes, how many CM's and how was the result? it is about a pair of raw MIJ where the thighs fits just snug enough, but the waist is about 2-3CM too big.

Also notice; are these 17 or 19cm? They fit you very very well!

I have a pair of 28 mim 19cm that have been tailored to a 17.5 if anyones interested in a trade. Original length still. Too many pairs to break these in or would trade for some beat up mij 29 19cm raws. Will post pics asap or pm if interested.

True, but i was considering purchasing a pair one size smaller, there are some room - not much - but some at the thighs so maybe i could go that route.

On the other hand, if i did purchase one smaller it would be hell untill they stretched out in the thighs, so my initial thought was just a waist alteration I never had this done, or seen any that had it done so i was just unsure about the end result.
