The way we're going to do this is release the jeans online in the Self Edge online store with a link that'll only be available to Supertalk members for 72 hours, whatever doesn't sell will go live on the Self Edge website to the public.

We'll be producing a few more of every size than what is noted in the final size count.

Contest is meant to start in January, I'd expect payments to be around that time as well (probably in Dec tho)

By the time they're in the store in all sizes almost every single pair will be accounted for.

Any chance that you would hold the extra pairs for a week or longer so that we can try-on the jeans and possibly exchange them for another pair depending on fit? I know that this would be a huge pain in the ass for you guys, but numbers on a matrix don't always reflect how these jeans will fit or look on a real person. Thanks

i don't think the point of this is to create THE ULTIMATE DENIM CUT... remember: it's gonna be a contest. meaning he'll do his best to provide you with denimz, you blindly wear the fuck out of them and may the best fadez win.

so, my point entails: try them on before buying? what the fuck, yo. that sorta ruins the whole point of having made-to-order denim, especially this one for the contest. i think we should trust kiya, no? cause if you don't like em, save em for... i dunno... a few months. i guarantee the sufu market will be glad to take these off your hands for the same cost or more when the contest is in full-stride for all those wishing they signed up.

This unfortunately will not be possible only because it'd be a logistical nightmare to execute, what i do assure you is that the measurements provided will be very accurate.

I am well aware of this... that's why I didn't ask if they will be available for in-store purchase. I asked if they could be tried on in store. I imagine that they will be be physically stored at Self Edge (though this could very well be incorrect), in which case there may exist the possibility of trying them on.

Kiya's response in post #857 was to kagemucha asking if the jeans were going to be sold in the store because he would like to try them on before purchasing. By my understanding, with Kiya saying that they won't be sold in store and are a superfuture project only, he's also implying that you won't be able to try them on ahead of time. Unless I'm mistaken.

For the record, I signed up long ago and plan to buy these jeans, but I figured I would ask about exchanges. In the last (current) BiG contest, an exchange was possible if the buyer wanted one and a replacement was available. Obv, I know these two contests are different and kiya has every right to tell me, "no," which he kindly did.

Thanks for your very nice reply, I understand what you are saying and with all the work you've put in, I'm grateful these are even happening. That said, I can't wait for fit pics; hopefully, there will be fits couple sizes and for both sexes, if possible.

All our samples for any project are a size 29.
