Naked & Famous Denim

Hello everyone,

I am completely new to Superfuture, and I was a little slow to get on these message boards. Now that I'm here, I am willing to answer any questions about Naked & Famous denim. I've been a merchant of the brand in Toronto for several seasons, and can vouch for the merits of each fabric choice, fit, and value.

My store is fully stocked with what we believe is the BEST that Naked & Famous has to offer. We don't do limited stuff, we keep the best styles and colours STOCKED well.

Please post your questions on this board or preferably, email me at [email protected]

I also carry several other high profile Japanese denim brands, including PRPS, Edwin Japan, and Iron Heart.

Tobi is very slow, but if you contact a sales rep they will give you a coupon for 15% off any item. I just ordered a pair of the 21 oz Slim Guy's from them. They had the lowest price I could find (at $190), and with the extra 15% off they were only $161.50. A pretty good deal for 21 oz denim.

That's cool, a lot of these new labels start out cheap and if they are successful you can expect price hikes and lower quality construction as production expands.

This brand is ALL about hype, take one look at the website and you could see that.. Models you can undress, tacky leather patch, 'weird guy' (sounds like someone stole a few pages from nudie)

N&F >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Crate and other crap raw denims at the same price point.

wait, what?

I was saying, if they made a reputable looking website, leather patch, more refined cuts and fits with less nudie steeze, the brand would do a lot better.

that is not to say there is a better quality label at that price point..

N&F is turning out to be a great disappointment, as to be expected.

damn look at that crotch. Maybe they will do a little more research, a little less hype and use more fascinating denim in the coming seasons

I don't see how you can slag the N&F denim. Have you ever even tried a pair?
no, I don't and after seeing the pics I never will.

You are more fickle about denim than a prepubescent boy who just discovered internet pornography.

You've just ragged on two amazing small denim companies from North America with great aesthetics.

Crate, being a brand that uses vintage dry denim found in old factories to make their jeans with new cuts (that are cut well), and N&F, who's a pleasant montrealer that's super obsessed with denim, and all the techniques in making it, and then puts all his passion into his product.

how can you fuck with that?

if you don't like the denim, then stay outta here. I think we're all really pleased with how this brand is making out and developing. sure theres some problems, there's always problems, but for a new denim company they're doing really good. They're in BiG. The ONLY north american company in BiG.

You really need to try out a pair and go through it if you're going to continually rag on something you have no clue about other then simple untrue stereotypes about small denim companies.

As far as the nudie cuts go, so what?

do you have a problem with nudie as well?

and who cares about the website, are you judging the company on their website? have you seen the evisu website? it's terrible.

Well you're looking at it from a very single point of view. Sufu has a tendency to really emphasize quality denims that really model their business around vintage reproductions (technically ALL jeans are vintage repros I suppose, but you know what I mean ) where as companies like nudie and N & F aren't trying to hit that market. They're much less concerned with the history of the denim, and more concerned with portraying denim in a more fashion forward society. N & F's website makes much more sense from that perspective. I've worn my heavy ironhearts, and am now into a pair of sugarcanes - defenitely more vintage inspired brands, but I've seen and handled many pairs of naked n famous jeans and I see absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. Their earlier models defenitely weren't up to ironheart standards, but..the PRICE!! That isn't to say this brand isn't concerned with quality, but quality isn't their main focus. If you wanna hate on that, you're entirely welcome to, just realize that in other people's eyes you sound ridiculous. It's like someone saying ironheart makes ugly ass jeans for old mofuckers just based on their ironheart uk website.

Just my two cents =P
