not the best pictures, but a firend caught a couple glimpses of my elephant 2's at my ceramics class.

All to gethet probably only 3 weeks or wear at most. got them on x-mas and have worn on and off cause they are to thick if its warm out. and twice they have to be repaired already which lost a good month of possible wear time.

has anybody had luck with fading a pair of power stretches? i bought a pair of indigo power stretches cause i bike quite a bike and live in arizona. after 4 months of wearing them almost everyday and biking 5-6 times a week for 25-30 miles per day these things have barely faded.

If you like fading, choose something 100% cotton, indigo and selvedge... Though I have also seen a pair of cashmere stretch from N&F pretty well faded...

You'd fit the skin guys fine. You don't have muscular legs, I have a 31" waist and 23" thighs. You probably just have a huge butt which makes it hard to pull over giving the illusion of big thighs

Haha..my striated vastus lateralis is insulted. I'm 5'7", a lean 175 and can squat 350 for reps (beyond parallel.) So yes, I do have muscular legs. Actually wish my ass was bigger. I think I'd look like a wanker in the skinny guys.

I would recommend trying the gamut of fits and denim types on if you can. I put my slim guys on today and they stretched so much after a month or so wear that I'm tempted to just start washing them, fades be damned.

maybe youre measuring wrong then? where normally if youre measuring your quads youd measure it half way or lower down your thigh but for jeans they measure right at the crotch

You are correct....I measured wrong. I believe I may buy 2-3 pairs from Tate&Yoko and return the ones that don't work. Thank you for your help.

I've been wondering - how do the n&f 22oz'ers compare to say Iron Heart's 21oz jeans in terms of overall quality, denim and construction? (not specific to cuts, using similar denim weights so its more of an apples to apples comparison) The n&f are about 1/2 the price, are you sacrificing anything or are they comparable?

Iron hearts are better...the denim fades faster and nicer imo. The construction...well naked and famous have had some quality issues and the wg's buttons falling off due to wrong button placement, rivets have also fallen out from what i've seen on here....Iron hearts have chainstiched hem and pockets where naked and famous 22oz dont. The overall construction of any iron hearts will blow you away compared to the naked and famous 22oz

in all realness there is a reason you're paying more for those jeans

I still love my e2's, and ive noticed n&f's heavier denim tends to fade better than the 12-14.5oz denim they usually run

but yeah Iron hearts most definitly blow the naked and famous 22oz out the water.

but try a pair out, i highly recommend them if you want something heavy without the heavy price. hope this helps...

I've had my slim guy broken twills for about two years now. I've just started washing them all the time now, they're getting so light its crazy. And they've also stretched out a ton and stay super soft even after washing and hang drying

Pretty new here,

I normally wear Levi's 511(30x32) and they fit me pretty well. I finally decided to get some raw jeans and got these pair that just came in today. I decided to get a size 28 because blue owl measurements said they would have a 30 inch waist.

These are how they fit

Skinny guy left-hand twill size 28

Should I get it hemmed? or leave it stacked? I could send it back to get it chain stitch hemmed for or just find a local tailor to do it for cheap and get it back right away. Does it really make a difference how I get it hememd?

I barely got all the buttons in but I imagine they would stretch some after a bit. I read some people get them where they can't even get the top two buttons closed. The thighs are definitely more snug than 511's and maybe I should get a weird guy fit next time but I think these will stretch enough for them to fit perfect. All opinions are welcome.

Already ridden approx. 15 miles in them, and worn them all day everyday as well, and haven't noticed much stretching. Just wondering whether I will regret my purchase later.

i buy based on the measured waist size listed at blue owl instead of what the tag says . . . so wg are +2 in the waist, so I get a 34 since they sit on my hips which are 36". my WGs havent stretched too much, but I have a pair of skinnyguys that have stretched an inch or so, but I would buy based on what your measurements actually are. i don't think any denim really stretches like apc does.

How should i size for skinny guys and elephants sg?

the name naked & famous is meant to be a satirical view of our celeb obsessed society. the owner wants to make fun of "hollywood" and "glamor" brands that cost $300 and up only because jessica simpson wears them and not because they are higher quality.

maybe jessica simpson isn't wearing the jeans but they are pretty close to 300 on some of those collabs. they also use to say no gimmicks. which with scented jeans they seemed to have changed their philosophy a bit

It's pretty rare that we have a jean at over $250 these days. When they are, it's going to be something very special, like our made in Japan collaborations, or the 32oz denim.

While the scratch n sniff may seem a bit gimmicky. We like to play with denim, the idea of creating new and interesting denim fabrics is part of the fun.

I respectfully disagree with you 'fuckcity'... When N&F says "gimmicks" they mean Hollywood brands that put Swarofsky crystals and such all over their jeans. Yes, the scratch-n-sniff jeans are a novelty, but clearly N&F likes doing fun and funky shit that helps get attention and press coverage. The glow-in-the-dark and scratch-sniff jeans are at least about the denim itself. If you don't like the quirky novelty stuff then just stick to the basics.

You can still get tons of N&F jeans at $130 to $150 retail. I have left hand twill selvedge which is $140 retail. To me, that's the core of the brand.

I was just stating that there seemed to be a shift. i like their company and product. i own quite a bit of their denim. I'm also glad that they are trying things that are fun or new. it doesn't mean its not a gimmick. $420 for stainless steel weird guys is still way above the price point they made fun of. honestly it doesn't really effect me. i buy what i want and can afford. it was just an observation. A boutique clothing store employee actually brought it up the other day when i was in their shop . I had completely forgotten about N & F talking about $300 jeans.
