but overall, the magazine is a business supported by sponsors, and i believe 45rpm ain't one of them.

Weird....it's such a great opportunity to display your product in lightning...ah, well...

perhaps, it's a marketing strategy. this is all hypothetical, but magazines like lightning and free & easy are targeted toward people who are into amekaji (american casual) style. and 45rpm perhaps wants to brand themselves as a designer brand, thus target people who are more into high fashion.

i didn't know anything about nylons, but found a little article in one of the books i had:

this book was published in 1998, so the article is probably a bit outdated.

the article doesn't say anything about their FN models. but nylon is a shop in osaka in an area known as amerika-mura. their vintage and used collections are some of the best in the region. they've been producing replica denim since 87, and by the time this article came out they claim they have created a perfect replication of the 50s XXs. they said other replicas should be called fakes. i guess they're pretty confident about their products.

Great mag -- too bad I can't read it!

Surprisingly, I am most impressed with the Lee's on pg. 114 and the Blue Bells on pg 202 -- very richly blue and contrasted.

It was also interesting to see the popularity of the FH 3005 versus the 3001, given that the later seems more popular here in the US. I think I remember Chicken noting this after his trip to the denim festival in Japan.
