glad to hear you dint take any loss.

well the exchange rate was worse then and I didn't include the original shipping or proxy fees in my price, still not bad for a piece I've owned for quite a while. I'm out of pieces I'm willing to part with though, good thing the only FW pieces I want are 4x lame basics, a boston bag and a pair of trousers (all _7 of course haha).

the sneaks are so cheap! I'm trying to get the cash so I can at least try them out and see if they will fit in with my gear.

I'm going to sell some of my basics to raise some cash:

- Claude Maus dbl layer cotton/cashmere ss in black - sz M

- Silent by DD Sea Lavender tee in dark grey - sz S (fits slim)

- Nicholas & Mark scalloped hem tank in drkshdw - sz 46

- Odyn Vovk black ribbed tank - sz M (fits small)

If you are interested, let me know. I'll post a sale thread when I can be arsed.

about 2 months on a waiting list and $50-100 per head. Movida next door is the more casual version of Movida,

We must have lucked out. We walked into both Movida and Taxi without reservations and got tables both times (we did have to have a few cocktails while we waited at Taxi though).

Yeah it was just a table for 2.

We also went to Cumulus Inc / Cutler & Co for lunch. Excellent food and wine and nice bustling vibe. The oysters and school praws were excellent.

Tyro, have you been to Coda (entrance just off Flinders Lane - Oliver lane maybe)? Looked very inviting but we didn't get a chance to try it out.

Joe...movida next door as T and ivans said, definite!!

well priced and awesome atmosphere, id eat there every night if i could

T, i read on broadsheet a couple months back about a few more that opened under movida... u checked these out?

we were lucky with taxi we had our meals and drinks paid for by work, i think tahts what made me liek it even more, plus we had incredible view... but the food & drink were nice as adam said, maybe a bit more expensive than other options, no?

i liked rockpool B&G melb better than the syd rockpool, had a better vibe for me... thats not ott on price either Joe, plus u can walk 2stepsand go make your money up @ the casino haha

cookie was fairly inexpensive as well.. nice cosy spot and rooftop bar right above for a drink after

i tried booking cumulus but all booked out... how did u rate it adam?

It was fairly expensive (for lunch, anyway), but the food was worth it in my opinion. The staff were great too. And as I said busy. We decided to go after we walked past a couple of times in our travels and every time it was packed, so we figured they must be doing something right!

You guys are seriously spoilt for food and clubs and shopping.

Also went to Stalactites for a late night Kebab... sorry, Souvlaki. After checking out Carlton Club and Madame Brussels. Fucking amazing.

I was also told of a club called Berlin, where the place is divided into two sides, east and west with decor to suit. Sounded good. Has anyone been there?

Tried Coda when it just opened and didn't really like it tbh. Much prefer ezard a block away, and spent around the same in those two places. Have to echo the good things said about MoVida and Yu-U as well. Other places I can recommend would be The Point in Albert Park (great steak, although quite oily), Attica (favourite dessert so far), Vue de Monde, or maybe trying Maze that's just opened in Crown Metropol?

I've always wanted to go to Cutler & Co as I loved Andrew Mcconnell's food when I went to Three One Two a long time ago, good to hear that it's living up to the hype.

Yeah it was just a table for 2.

I havent been to Berlin Bar, but one of my client's is a cool German guy who designs lighting and he loves it. One side of the bar is east and the other west. I think east has like boarded over bath tubs as tables and stuff, and the west is more opulent. I think he said the wall in the middle had the graffiti on it too hahaquote]

that has to be the coolest idea i've ever heard for a bar!

second that... choice for you guys isnt fair

i wanted to go to bar lourinha and der raum for a drink but never had time...

worth it next time or not?

what bars you normally head to Dave?

Hi, Visiting from Canada. Here for another week. I'm looking to spend roughly $300 and get about 5 plain and simple nice fitting t shirts. Any good places sell Alternative apparel or the equivalent? this thread is huge, I've already discovered Brunswick st. and Chapel st. as well as lil collins. Cool streets

I saw matt Preston visit rumi on a melb doc the other month, anyone been?

off topic, anyone had any experience with Nathan smith tees? Just after some cheap basics and thought 60 a pop not too bad.. Or better off sticking 2 qlo tees?

Starthere, as tyro said american apparel u could prob get 6-10tees (think they vary in price?)

the Nathan smith tees would be around the budget you gave, not sure where they sell in melb but it'll say on the site, or just order online

thanks man!

starthere, Alternative Apparel shirts are sold in David Jones on Bourke Street, on the first floor. I think i think they run from $30-60 each, but Im not 100% sure on the price.
