I've only ever had T-Mobile, I've only owned a cell phone for 3 years or so...I had no income in England and my parents didn't want to get me one. I'm pretty sure I like the contract over pay-as-you-go, over there no one I can remember had a contract and here it's the opposite.

im on t-mobile, i had a 1 year contract when i got my phone, thats ended and now i pay as a go. then again tmobile doesnt suck, you do for agreeing to a 6 year contract. should have just said no

i just got written up for telling SF that they shouldn't buy some dude's D80 in supermarket for 900 bucks when you can get a D1H for half the price or a D1X for 2/3 of the price. both of which, though entirely different, are much better cameras. that shit kinda pissed me off.

for what it's worth, i don't think there's anything wrong for people to be spending however much money on whatever type of equipment for whatever type of hobby, unless they go around talking shit about how great they are. i have a lot better time taking shitty photographs than recording shitty music, because i'm trained in recording, and the gear's too expensive for me to make the type of product i would be satisfied with. but i can be satisfied with taking pictures because i don't know what the fuck i'm doing. if you're having a good time doing whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it, even if your shit sounds like moby taking a dump.
