I.T's sales are good. I.T outlet is ehn. if you dig a lot you might find something nice - i uncovered a few old helmut land and ann dem pieces but they weren't really worth buying. again it really depends on your luck.

As far as the retail prices I don't really remember, I don't buy anything retail- but it's definitely better than mainland pricing (doesn't say much...) don't know how they'd compare to the UK though.

Are there any good ones?

My main question now is:

Where is a good place to get cameras from, w/ International Warranties

I've been told Tsim Sha Tsui is pretty good, but I dont know of any specific shop store to go to.

How effective is haggling over there?

Just don't buy from those stores taht say duty free international store.. if your cucasian, they will chase you with a book full of their cameras in store, which in fact are mostly used and reconditioned to make it look new then sell it to you for a ass raping price.

I.T. is decent in sales. But if your over 6 ft and medium build like I am, it will be a bitch to find you the right size clothing...

the it sale shop is good at the moment.. i got margiela shoes and raf hoody (less than 50 pounds for both)..... there was a lot of good stuff, im normally not a fan of the place, go early when the shop is tidy and most garments are on racks

i got my camera a couple of years ago from a small shop in tst, got it cheaper than duty free + international warranty + free bag + free battery + free memory card.. extra memory cards are real cheap there

Margiela shoes? Damn! Last I went, they were full of Nike trainers.

I'm not from USA, no. UK land of 17.5% VAT.

Are I.T's prices a joke across every brand they deal with?

Any feedback on the I.T Sale shop?

IT sale shop is a hit or miss thing. I went last year, mens wear was decimated. Went this year, they have more stuff for mens. Half of it is IT's own inhouse stuff.

I went last month and saw Cabane de Zucca, Helmut Lang, CDG, Margiela, Raf, D & G for mens. But dont set your hopes up. They only have limited items from each brand. Maybe jeans or Ts of each label. Their prices aint exactly to kill for either.

The funny thing is they dont have no fitting rooms and they dont even allow you to slip on their shirts to try for size as well. You can get the staff to measure the clothes and measure yourself. I strongly advise you to do that.

what type of clothes you are looking for?

as of camera, go to boardway, it's the name of the chain store, they are in everywhere, don't buy from any small shops in tst

Clothes wise, streetwear I'd say nhbd, wtaps, soph, vis (bargain footwear - is that even possible in HK?), atmos x tnf, porter etc etc (ie the usual folly)

Camera wise... Panasonic TZ3 or FX100 - i aint decided but cheapest price on a TZ3 on a UK based site is $470 usd /3,660 hkd. Is Broadway going to be a good price?

I've just found the online site of a shop/chain called Fortress... they want 3790 hkd for tz3... pretty cheap lol!

I'm also eager on checking out Two Percent, do they do good quality basic pieces realistically priced?

What's all that about? Is that a deliberate attempt at trying to be twatty? Or is that the norm in HK?

I have no idea what he's on about.

coldrice you seem to have enjoyed your last trip in hk lol. very savvy....

dude dont buy from broadway. its like giogn to bestbuy and picking up a camera. if you know your shit just go to a specialist. in fact its probably easier for u to buy off a usa website and get it sent over. the only reason to specifically pick up cameras in hk is because sometimes they sell cameras only otherwise available to japan.

there's a bunch of camera stores on stanley street in central, below Lan Kwai Fong, near Page One that sells cameras. I'd go to the first one on the left (i dont konw the name in english). They process my BW film by hand for me and are pretty savvy people. i know for sure that they over price some items (like Billingham camera bags, but they are the sole retailers in hk) but they have almost anything. definitely go check there.

But don't they have a no-refund/no-returns policy?

This makes no sense or is it "because i'm white?"

That definitely happened. I cant recall whether they have a refunds policy or not.

But I didnt care about that and slipped on a T to try. The manager told me nicely their policy when she saw me doing that.

i dont know what beast is talking about but i've tried stuff on in IT. the measuring thing applies to really small crowded markets.

I mean the IT Sale Shop not the other IT. That definitely happened when I was there last month. But the staff was nice about it and they have a measuring tape to measure for me.

This seems madness, I can't try anything on, only measure, yet if I say buy a coat, and the shape or fit is shit, I'm stuck with it. The most dumbest thing ever.

Even DSM isn't THAT bad, and tehy're pretty gay in there.

Not sure whether that policy applies to coats and jackets because I was not eyeing for those. Dont even remember whether I saw them there.

guess you're not much of beast then are you? :)

Haha. What you want me to do? Fight with them over trying of cheap clothes?

BTW I was in a bazaar sale not too long ago for many branded clothes.

No changing rooms and nothing to prohibit people from trying on of clothes.

I seen guys stripping to their briefs to try on pants. One guy was even wearing red small briefs.

I should have taken a picture and post it on the net.
