If you want to know what an over-washed pair of onis look like, i got em. this was my first pair of japanese selvage, bought in August 07 simply because I liked the oni, before i knew anything about fading, etc... For a long time they were probably washed weekly, and thrown in the dryer after every wash. Haven't been wearing them too much recently because I didn't really like how they turned out, and I'm trying to do a better job on my flatheads. Anyways, here you go (PS: they're slightly more blue in real life):

very dark...taken with crappy point and shoot, natural light no adjustments...

color is pretty much spot on

Here are the updates of my pair after several soaks and 1 machine wash. Worn since May?

Unfortunately these are the best shots I could get during the week. I will try for some better ones early afternoon on Saturday.

those onis really dont look that washed out considering they've had mad washes. with some real hard daily wear, they would turn out ok. @least all the shrinkage is out of the way. a ''vintage'' fade is not really a worst case scenario.

dudes been hot on the evo thread lately. even the best get gassed sometimes. sanding those skulls aint an option.
