sleazie: Cotton Duck probably isn't gonna be back to tell you why you shouldn't buy fake shit, but the reason why knockoff stuff like that jacket is so cheap is because:

1. the leather is cheaper (not commensurately, just lesser, there is an entry price to every thing, so cheap leather costs something, just not as much as other leather)

2. zips are bound to be generic and cheap, a quarter or eighth of the price of the real thing

3. labor is cheaper

4. Asian people selling direct usually mark stuff up 2-3x where as Ricky O stuff gets marked up 20X over manufacturing cost.

I realize it's a knockoff, but the amount of materials and labor that go into them is not a large amount less than the originals.
