Kapital jeans

It doesn't help that Kapital has a fairly tight limit on items produced, which I think is a good thing, but not when you are actually vying to get one.

Posting these here for posterity sake (good light currently)...

Feels like the brand has gone downhill since Toshikiyo-san passing & their majority stakes bought by LVMH, pissing off Jon also definitely bad move on Kiro's part.

Recently had a chance to visit their Sapporo outlet & there is nothing compelling anymore, really feels like they are stagnant creatively now....very sad...

I think that was quite expected when they were bought up. Currently following if the same will happen to Our Legacy, their prices have gone up like crazy too.

I find it quite amazing, how big these markets are. And apparently the more prices get raised the more some people start to buy.
Our Legacy had sales to the tune of US$43.6 in 2024.
The large growth was apparently seen in the last five years. As one of the founders says: ""Our Legacy has for almost two decades now been an independent self-financed organically growing designer brand," says Hallin. "Last three years has been intense though: We have grown almost 500 percent since the pandemic. "

So in 2018 (or 2019) more around US$8m. Very interesting.

The majority of people probably don't know about the change in owners.
Birkenstock and APC were also bought by LVMH's L Catterton.
