There was some talk about this over at the LVC thread but nothing happened and I thinkit would be great to have scans of all the LVC booklets. That way we can get a nice insight into LVC so far and also the evolution of the collections and how many times they've released the same styles but in different washes etc.

I'll start off, eventhough I have some LVC items I only have one booklet, since all the others where either bought from someone else or came without it.

I don't have a scanner at hand so these are just a photographs, but I'm posting it anyway to get the topic started (if anyone has a chance to post a scan or better photo, please do).

this is not a LVC catalog but I think it fits in to the category. A little booklet called THE HISTORY OF LEVIS 501 JEANS. It contains what Levis considers are the most important changes in the 501 history:

Does it say from when it is? Since those first overalls that are shown here ar from after the one with the midpatch and tool pocket right? Those must've not been bought by Levis when this booklet was being made.

unfortunately it doesnt say when it came out. I got it at the Levis office in Stockholm together with a Levis*Moleskine notepad in 2005. So I guess it's from 2005...

Good thread, thanks for posting this... I have three years' worth of the full catalogues. But digital camera has died. Might be some time til I buy a new one... snowed under by bills, shoulda been an accountant or a plumber I guess.

Levi's bought the pre501 1880s jeans in 2001.

Are the US and european collections quite different? I've had a look on the US site and they're seeling tees with some old LEVIS ad artwork. These aren't available in the UK.

There have always been differences btw. the US/Europe LVC collections, but I think it was either S/S '03 or F/W '04 that Levis came out with distinctly different collections for each region. Before, the items were pulled from the same pool, but it seemed that the US market received fewer pieces than the rest of the globe.

I think its fairly hopeless to find anything from past seasons unless you troll around ebay or Levi's outlet stores. Sometimes you can find stuff on some Japanese sites too if they carry the import lines...try joe-net.

Newbie question here, but can somone reccomend a source for basic 501 lvc in the states. Im in nyc and tried the lexington ave store and its hopeless. Im a 36W x 33" and need a longer labled 32L or 34"

I see a lot of threads referring to culzism.com but since levis waist sizing seems to be all over the place id like to order from someone who can do a return.
