Ugh that was painful...tried for about an hour and a half to get these last few pics up...anyways, went to a place called Lincoln karaoke whose service has seem to drop significantly since last I visited...new management/owners perhaps? Regardless, I tend to rock the frack out of the microphone no matter what conditions are thrown at me...and yes, I changed back into the outfit I wore yesterday!

I feel really bad about not giving a full update for today but this is all I can manage for now...although I can promise a ginormouspectacular update tomorrow!

Day 6 Contd.

Apologies for the delay...just got home from my Chicago trip and having settled in, decided to post a picture dump that I had planned on doing last night but couldn't due to connection problems.

Today was a big day...woke up and had breakfast at the top rated M.Henry in Andersonville (#1 according to yelp lol...but I tend to trust yelp ratings)

I ordered a special off menu French Toast and my girlfriend got the Blackberry blisscakes

Grapefruit juice so fresh and tarty

Visible crotch wear and repairs

I love all the museums at Chicago even though they aren't the largest or well stocked...Here's more of Shedd

Shark embro...pretty weird because they were actually moving around

We went to the Planet Earth 4D show and got poked in the back with sticks, spit in the face by a pirate and great white shark as well as blown at by arctic winds

Afterwards we went to the "Fantasea" show

The backdrop for the Shedd is Lake Michigan...the show itself was pretty family fun with a dropping screen curtain, live animals running and flying around, your typical girl actress playing with dolphins and boats as well as your everyday falconer

You'd think it was the Beijing olympics

The whole museum campus/park area provides pretty breathtaking views of the city and lake...

After the Shedd we decided to go downtown and walk around in the cold while waiting for dinner

How can you say no to this?

For dinner we went to Bandera on Mich.Ave which can be considered pretty standard tourist fare but the food is legitimately good...

The menu is pretty small but solid...I got the Prime Rib sandwhich (so juicy and soft)

We had to wait longer than they told us so they gave us free appetizers...

Apparently the Jalapeno cornbread makes cornbread converts out of the most disbelieving...it was pretty good actually

medine we went to the Shedd as it's the only one I haven't been to in years and also my girlfriend is an elementary school teacher and has been everywhere else except the Shedd on field trips...where do you goto school?

Day 6 FINAL

After a long day we decided to bake some Snickerdoodle cookies

Cinnamon and Sugar...one of the best combinations

At times like these a deep fryer is a must

They turned out quite delicious

And that wraps up Day 6! I know I should get up today (Day 7) but I should be getting to sleep soon...don't hate me if I upload it tomorrow!

Day 7 was pretty uneventful for me...just made some brunch with my girlfriend and went back home to Michigan on the Megabus...

Woke up to a beautiful morning:

Some really good potatoes...cooked with dried parsley and chili powder
