Fine dining at Novus to celebrate...

Started with cold tomato soup (not shown), Foie Gras and raspberry compote drizzled with chocolate sauce.

Main was a steamed Garoupa with potatoes and aubergine caviar. Accompanying wine (not shown) was a Pinot Gris.

Ended with the dessert assiette consisting of mini creme brulee, coffee custard, lychee jelly, passionfruit sorbet & vanilla ice-cream in a glazed wafer cup, strawberry sorbet, mini-brownie and fruit compote. Whew!

Dinner with the boyfriend was another semi-fine dining Italian experience in honour of birthday.

Started with an antipasto plate, followed by...

Parma ham and arugula pizza followed by the Spaghetti Vongole below...

Check out the empty shells...

Then dessert: pannacotta and mint and butterscotch gelato. Yuuuuummmmmm.

Oh, and the wine was a very smooth 2003 Chianti Classico Riserva.
