i almost got murdered in a desolate field past siam reap in cambodia, but somehow, my buddy and I convinced them we meant no harm with an amazing rendition of hotel california. after that, beers were had, mic's were sung, and parties commenced. true story btw. i remember taking my eyes off the screen (this was like the 10th time in the same trip we did the song) and seeing a gun next to the beer with ice cubes. But sing hotel california and you'll make friends everywhere. Pina coladas is all about the projection baby. Last time i went i also did "i'd do anything for love" by meatloaf. needless to say, people were slayed. Rod Stewart's downtrain train is always good just because it's a fucking tom waits song and people look at you weird cuz they know the song, but not the tom waits song.

i think the only song i ever had to turn off was "uptown" by stevie wonder. just couldn't do it.
