i guess those people talking about everton breaking into the big 4 got proved wrong... HAHA

amazing game.. captain fantastic with 2 goals and 2 assists

The same thing was said about Everton last season right on this forum too when they could not string together a few points in the first few months and all their orthodox strikers were injured.

They still ended up in Europa League this season.

Thoughts on draw:

A, E, and F are going to be the most interesting. United and Arsenal got picked an easy draw, while Chelsea has a reasonable one, although having to play two very competitive teams (porto and athletico) will not be easy. Besides that, seeing Barcelona play Inter should be interesting after the blockbuster transfer(s?) over the summer.

1. Don't think Man U got an easy draw. Wolfsburg is the Budesliga champ and CSKA aint no slouch and they got that articifical pitch.

2. Even Chelsea got a difficult draw as Porto perenially gets through to the next stage and Athletico has Kun and Forlan.

3. Group F is interesting. Eto'o loves to stick it to his old club like against Real and Jose the 'translator' can rile the Nou Camp up.

United are a bit unlucky in the sense that they got Wolfsburg, a more than competitive team as their group's pot four team. But, none of those four teams can seriously competitively disrupt United on both teams' best days. E and A are also two very competitive groups.

Well, on their day, Man U is a giant killer.

But on their off day, even with Ronaldo, they lost to Lille and whats their names and ended up 4th in their group which meant they were not even in UEFA Cup.

In the past, these types of allegations have been placed on many of the big teams. The fact that Chelsea got charged is just a bit unlucky. The FA and FIFA flip-flop a whole lot. I expect the ban to get shortened to just one transfer window.

The Eduardo ban is even more ridiculous.

Bet the Chelsea ban will be cut just like the Drogba and Bosingwa bans but even if they cannot buy during the January window only, they will be in trouble due to the African Nations Cup.
