I can't tell you the number of times I've been to radio shack looking for something that they should have but don't: replacement xbox 1 video cable, PCI ethernet card, 8GB USB flash drive (they ran out of that size), a particular RCA->coaxial cable converter, 6.5536MHz oscillator crystals, a potentiometer, etc

At one time radio shack had all KINDS of useful stuff like breadboard components, ham radio equipment, all kinds of TV wiring, you name it. Now they're just a glorified cell phone store.
