Finding the axel will almost cost as much as finding a used hub.

My friend told me that Phils go for around $100ish.

Luckily for one of my other friends, my rear hub is Keirin spaced, which I ran on my Cannondale (120spaced) with two spacers on the axel to fit.

But yea... Pretty much easier just finding a rear hub... People usually sell DA hubs for pretty cheap.

Axle length doesn't really matter, there's not any spacers to take off!

110mm shells are narrower than the 120mm ones. You might be able to lose a few mm from taking out one or two of the washers, but coming up w/ 10mm is not going to happen.

the urban bikes are complete garbage. i love the concept of making cycling easy and accessible to people, but they're ripping you off.

check out the bikesdirect bikes or watch craigslist for used mercier kilo tt's, bianchi pistas, etc. there will be a ton going up in the next few months as summer ends.

Don't have grease so drivetrain goes on tomorrow. Waiting on the brakes and bar tape so should be complete Wednesday. I'll post another pic then. Setting it up as a SS with 48/18 ratio.

I would say so. It's a cheap bike, but it's steel, and should last if you're not TOO fucked up to it.

After doing much research, and trying out a few friends bike I think i'm just going to jump the gun on this, seems a reasonable price for this bike new and I figure if its no good it wont be difficult to sell.

Also, you can always put it on yourself, then roll down to your shop and say "hey, this look right?"

If you've butchered it, they'll let you know.

Fuji Tracks are pretty light on the street, a bunch of people ride em. To me, it didnt feel to "stable" when I hit anything above 25mph. Felt some speed wobbles, which is never a fun feeling. Guess I wasnt used to the alu. fork?

Cannondale Track is my jam. Never gonna sell the frame I got, even if I could just grab another one, for a price I could sell it. Just lovin the way it feels.

if you're in NYC, i even have an extra shimano 600 brake you can have for a couple beers... housing and a lever will cost you $15 for a tektro or something at trackstar.

Usually you can find them cheaper...

Some people have sold some COMPLETE for like, $800, while I see semi new 08/9 Concepts for $900 as well.
