My question would be WHY? Why recreate a historic jean and not keep to the original pattern? THe reason these jeans are classic is they're not slave to fashion trends. Looks nutty to me. In my opinion you make fashion trend jeans from your other lines not you historic line.

If you take a closer look you will notice that they offer both an original and customised version. I doubt many people would consider that lowering the rise on a pair of 505's(which originally had a higher rise than 501's) constitutes slavery to fashion trends. These jeans are not only great for their historic significance, but also their wearability.

so what does everyone think of the new 67 505? personally I don't like them, the denim looks far to proper and finished, shiniest I ever saw. they're really dark though, maybe they'll fade well.

my favourite is still the unsinged version, which was before aw 06.

I love mine. The denim is a bit shiny, but I'm sure that that's just starch that will wash out. I kinda like the way that they shimmer in the light though. Due to the higher rise I wear mine higher on my waist than I would with 501's, so I think that I should have bought my actual waist size rather than going a size up as advised on cultizm.

I just came back from the Levi's Store in Sta. Monica and did not see the 1937 501XX. I picked up a 1947 501XX raw it was the only one left in the store--someone bought ten pairs. I bought it cuz it's made in thE U.S.A.

Dejan did LVC fix the arcuate problem on the new 20s 201s?

I've been assured they have. If they can't get that right second time around, they should probably shut up shop & go home! I've a feeling one of the reasons they've reinstorudced it so quickly is to correct the error from last time around...

Paul, I think my 20s 201s 555s could be my favorites. The denim is amazing. I have another pair with the double needle arcuates from a couple years ago and the denim is really nice on those also. Any idea where they'll will be sourcing their blue/green line denim? Gotta love those blackend donut buttons...Have you seen the 1905s?
