Sunday post..been starting to fix some holes ...not really an expert when it comes to sewing...

that's how we used to sew patches on our jeans when we were punkers back in the day

Ya,I think the patch is perfect. I just got my S0110XJ's hemmed and forgot to ask for the denim back, as I had this type of repair in mind.

The denim patch is the same Texas cotton denim used for the S05000XX...I've asked Toshiko to send me a piece for that purpose..

beatle, i should start calling you the "love-bug"! i admire how your patch method isnt the way a lot of people say it should be done. looks like some my dear sweet grandma would have done...damn i miss her( salaam wipes cheek, and proceeds). the contrast banana yellow thread is ill. ive been working on a roof for a few days, one of my hidden rivets is exposed, but i havent gotten any knee-holes as of yet. oh well, more living, more loving. props...

Just curious what kind of repairs everyone has been doing. I have been using some liquid stitch (fabric glue) to fix a couple problem areas but after seeing Beatle's patch job I have been inspired to pick up a needle and thread.

My sams unfortunately haven't seen much wear recently. This 95+ Texas heat makes it miserable to do just about anything especially in denim, but ill see if I can snap some new pics tonight.

Prefer the first repair to be honest, now you just have a square on you knee, could turn out nice when it continues ripping and exposes the fabric underneat it though,

Yap...I just took some of the advice given above - I'm allright with it for the moment..but I might take it off again and put the patch on the outside..

We shall see - very time consuming process...

Its a sugarcane belt.

The bottom left corner of my left back pocket is coming unstitched and starting to come up. I also used fabric glue to put a piece of denim behind the hole from my wallet that I'm thinking about sewing in. I like how the patch jobs give the jeans one more little personal aspect. Nice work beatle.
