i couldnt tell how high the rise was on the new standards i got so basically i went off me as being a 32 so i sized down 3 and went 29. it took me fucking like an hour to get the buttons all on. im dying here, i didnt think they were so low rise, and usually for low rise im a 33 but foir waist im around a 30. jesus, anyone have any tips as for stretching the waist? oh btw ive been wearing them for like a good 3 days now nonstop i even slept in them twice and they are ripping a new asshole in me.

just keep wearing them. you gotta endure with the bruises on your hip or waist-hip though.. happened to me when i was stretching the shit outta my 28.

i'm a 31.5 btw, wanted to get the 29 but they were out of my size so i figured i would go with the 28 and have not regretted it

I sized down three and the waist stretched back to comfort (I wear a thirty, generally).

There wasn't as much stretching in calves, so I wouldn't reccomend sizing down too much if you don't have chicken legs.

Well I got my hands on a new pair of sz26 today to fit on. I liked the slim fit of the 26s, so I suppose I should get a s25 if I want to have a similar fit after all the stretching. Will I still be able to get a low rise then (sizing 3 down, usually a 28), though?

Still looking for someone who can inform me about 25s after stretching + fit and perhaps a picture. :[

i know this has been discussed before, however i don't believe anyone came to a consensus. Is there any difference between the 28 new cure and the 27 new cure (which would have to be women's)? Does the rise change much?

It would much appreciated if someone who has tried both the 28 and the 27 could share their observations. Thanks.

I wasn't looking TOO closely, but the difference didn't seem to be worth mentioning. It's hard to tell when you're sizing down and the jeans sit up higher on your hips because they haven't stretched out yet, so I could be wrong, but there was nothing drastically different.

i'd actually go for 26s. i'm usually a 28 and the 25s were skin tight when i first got them.

they're raw, but not selvage.

Great, answers my question about my sizing problem perfectly. Could you perhaps also post the current waist and thigh measurements?

Thanks.

Just got my Rescue's in the mail this morning.

They are a size 29, I normally wear a 31. It's my recommendation that you go down THREE sizes with the Rescue if possible. The 29 fits me perfect right now, but once they stretch I'm sure they'll be ridiculously big.

Also, comparing the 29 Rescue to a 31 RRDS, I find the Rescue's are baggier all around.

Will be exchanging these for a pair of New Standards.

Just ordered a pair of Rescues from Denim Bar. Dude was super nice, and asked if I found out about them from Superfuture. I sheepishly said yes, and he told me they offer a better price for us. $120 shipped, even to Canada. Much better than $156 shipped direct from APC. Give them a call if you're in the market.

is denim bar azaleaf.com??

Recently I aquired some APC New Standards through the market here via wwld. They are size 33. I'm a little reluctant to break these in and let them stretch though. Of course, I know these APCs will stretch a size or two. I'm only tried them on so far.

This first picture is of me in my cheap levis 505s. They are 34w x 36length and the seem to actually have some room in the waist but are pretty tight around the thighs. Comfortable, but I do not need another pair this tight or tighter.

The second picture is me trying on the APCs. They are definitely a lot tighter, almost skin tight in the thighs, but I am still able to button them up without any problem. The seems on the side do not seem stressed at all.

The third picture is of some random guy in Imperial jeans. I really like the way they fit, but I'm afraid the APCs won't stretch out that far.

I'm not sure if I need them to stretch that much, but I definitely need them significantly looser than my Levis. So, could you please share your thoughts? Thanks,

Quick photos real quick! APC Rescues size 32.

Should've downsized some more!

These jeans stretched out so much! I have to use a belt, and they ride on my hips now.

Probably at about 3 months with 4-5 wears a week for the last month and a half.

Crappy pic, get some more tomorrow.

I just bought these New Cures today and when I got home noticed the seam on the outside of the top right leg has a gap. The pics don’t show how really noticeable this spot is and the rest of the seams don’t look to quality either.

I'm going to exchange them tomorrow but am I right in thinking this is out of the ordinary?

I really hoping there is another size 27 not messed up looking.

I'm a noob and I have read the encyclopedia but I still have some questions.

I am planning to pick up some New Standards soon (my first selvege denim) and I'm hoping to see natural fades, not the highly contrasted ones.

Should I was them before my first wear? If so hot or cold for how long?

What should Ibe washing your jeans in while I wear them and how often? Dry cleaning them, cold/hot water soak for how long? Or regular machien wash?

Thanks.

Washing them when you get them is unneccessary, because they are sanforized.

Wash them as needed when you are wearing them.

Do a search for different washing methods.

hey guys, below are pictures of me in my 31 washed new standarda. the have stretched out quite a lot since i took this photo, but they are still my absolute jeans, and although i could easily get into a pair of 30's, i dont think i would want to as I like the casual/smart anti fit look (if such a thing exists). ie they are fitted but comfy

question 1: therefor what size should i get my raw new standards so that they look and feel like these 31's. raw denim can be tricky, and i dont want them to end up hip hop style, so what size would you recommend.

cheers
