Ok, so I realize that one cut is tapered and one is straight cut, but in terms of slimness which cut is more comparale to the LVC 47', the New Standards or Rescues? Thanks.

I cooped a pair of new standards about a month ago, been wearing them every day, got em wet in the rain once so i suppose you could call that a soak?

the hige is becoming more and more pronounced, but the combs? for one month of wear i have not seen such contrast in any pictured APCs that share the age and wear of mine on this board. could the few day i did construction work have to do with em? ill try and get em up later this evening or tommorow, and you can throw me to the wolves.

I bought a pair of new standards like a week and a half ago and the backs of my knees are already creasing up like crazy too. Not really sure what the deal is. I mean I wear them every day and I'm a stock manager for American Apparel so I do a lot of work in them, lot's of bending down etc that may be what it is. But yeah, mine are progressing a lot quicker than what most of the relatively new pairs that have been posted here seem to be as well.

I am new on this site and I've been listening to all the a.p.c love inhere and now I'm hooked, but also I've listened to a lot of discussion about the sizes and it seems to be a bit complicated. My cheap monday regulars are 32/32 and my Levi's Engineered are 32/32 aswell (very loose and baggy though). I want the APC New Standard model and I want it to be kind of tight, but still I like it a bit baggy or low at least. What do you recommend? And do you know if I have to buy them online or does any shops in Copenhagen sell them?

i'm like 5'11.5 / skinny legs -- and still think i cant pull them off well

does everyone agree? new standards -- made for the tall?

oh and also -- with the new standards ( just bougnt my first pair ) how do you guys battle the small leg openings? i swear they make all my shoes look huge when i wear the jeans ( i' m a size 10 1/2 - 11 in shoes )

do the leg openings eventually stretch too ?

cord: i'm 5'10" and i think i pull off new standards just fine. i wear them with everything from vans slip ons to redwings and i think they work. i don't think you should count on stretching out the hems -- just try them with different shoes and/or post some fits in the waywt thread and ask for feedback...

most of the stockists in the sticky thread (at the top of the superdenim forum) are in the states...whether online or not, unfortunately. maybe you'll have to order a pair from france..

no, i dont think NS are only made for the tall

basically the same pair of jeans fits very different to each individual, so something that doesnt fit u well might fit other great, vice versa

and i dont think height isnt the crucial factor when it comes to jeans, its more ur body proportion that counts, u still can pull off NS or other jeans even if u r not 6'1

I won on ebay a pair of 2nd hand APC NS, lightly worn, and they are on the way. For hygiene's sake, I would like to have them dry-cleaned first. I don't care much about any existing whiskers or honeycombs on my NS.

Question is, is it advisable for me to ask my laundry shop to press them too, or to leave them unpressed in case it leaves funny marks?

I usually wear Vans with my APCs (and pretty muhc everything else). They're not much different than Chucks but you could try a pair of Old Skools.

Similar design and concept but a little more on the aesthetic side so your foot doesnt look too long. I'm only 5'8 with a us12 foot and my feet don't look freakishly long.Stacking your jeans also helps a little bit in that respect.

Actually, I sold those to my twin bro (who is about 20 lbs lighter than me ) and got a sz 32. I think they look a lot better now, though my gigantic bubble ass prevents much sagging of them.

I'll take one tonight. I didn't really want to end up with a tight fit in the waist/crotch, so not ballbusting tight to start with was the right move for me. Plus, I'm willing to wash to shrink these when I need to, since I'm not concerned with the fades as much.

Holly shit I think I may have gone too tight! While wearing my new cures and trying to stretch them out I tore some stitching in the crotch, has anybody done that with new Jeans before? They are tight but I still think they should stretch out to the right tight fit, if I can manage to not rip them to pieces in the process.

i couldnt tell how high the rise was on the new standards i got so basically i went off me as being a 32 so i sized down 3 and went 29. it took me fucking like an hour to get the buttons all on. im dying here, i didnt think they were so low rise, and usually for low rise im a 33 but foir waist im around a 30. jesus, anyone have any tips as for stretching the waist? oh btw ive been wearing them for like a good 3 days now nonstop i even slept in them twice and they are ripping a new asshole in me.
