I dunno, I`m maybe thinking now its a completely different movie..? but at the end the guy rides off thru hong kong with his girl on the back of his (motor)cycle or something? Saw it years back but it really impressed me at the time.

Anyone know what the fuck the movie is I`m thinking of?

Y, know I tried to watch in the mood for love last night for the second time but switched it off again, it just doesnt grab me, I guess i should watch it and give it a chance though.

I cant decide which is best out of the vengence trilogy mmmm

Requiem for a dream is a really good film, aronofsky is a total don.

of wong kar wai i have only seen in the mood for love and 2046, the former the most recently, and i feel without christopher doyle they would be ignored as the vapidly forgettable love strories that i think they are.

my favourite movie of all time though is still blade runner, and there are plenty of crushing criticisms that can be fairly levelled at it.

Did u check out the fixed gear feature on honeyee canice? Pretty cool if u havent already seen it:

http://www.honeyee.com/feature/index.html

(u need to click on `let`s skid the night together`)

yes! the pictures are rad but i need a translation on the writing. pretty surprised to see the number of aero wheels and carbon gizmos those guys ride, seeing as they're not really durable enough for city life, but then again - it's the japanese.

dude in the lime green frame and gold nitto drops has an ideal bike, wouldn't mind owning that for myself.

buy a bike already so i have someone to talk gear to. hahha.

oh and on topic of fixed gear: http://www.mashsf.com - documentary on fix in san francisco, also featured on honeyee.

Blue Velvet

Band of Outsiders

Sex, Lies, and Videotape

The Exorcist

Manhattan

i can keep going forever, there is no way i can name just one

Some classic lines in Blue Velvet and The Exorcist:

Frank Booth: What are you looking at?

Jeffrey Beaumont: Nothing.

Frank Booth: Don't you look at me, fuck!

[whispering]

Frank Booth: I shoot when I see the whites of the eyes.

Frank Booth: Shut up! It's Daddy, you shithead! Where's my bourbon?

[repeated line]

Frank Booth: Fuck you, you fucking fuck!

****

[Regan, possessed, is masturbating with a crucifix]

Pazuzu: Let Jesus fuck you, let Jesus fuck you. Let him fuck you.

Regan MacNeil: Do you know what she did, your cunting daughter?

Pazuzu: Your mother sucks cocks in Hell, Karras, you faithless slime.

heh. classics.

Has anyone seen a film called "Happiness"??? Spyed it the other night, I think I am scarred for life now.

one of my friends in college was a film major so he told me, you gotta see this movie its so fucked up. so we ended at this used vhs/ porn store, and found a copy, and yeah it was so fucked up.

but back on topic i think my favorite would probably be pulp fiction.

my favorites are pulp fiction, trainspotting, requiem for a dream, the godfather and the cell. i loved the cell because of the incredible imagery, plus it really got to me because it really captured the wierdness of dreams and how they can change radically from one second to the other.

other favorites: forrest gump and the green mile... made me cry!!

In the mood for love are fare from a “vapidly forgettable love strories †you are talking about, but it's only my opinion. It's like saying the movie is only made of plenty excelent pictures which is definitely not. What about the music? And maggie cheung is not just a beautiful model...

Christopher Doyle is not the Director of Photography as you said, the real one is called Li Ping-Bing and quiete famous, doyle only made a very small part.

But anyway Wong Kar Wai is also: chunking express, fallen angel, days of being wild, happy together. I will always remenber, when 12 years ago the crazy chunking express make me love what movies are.

My favourite movie are transpotting, pupl fiction, dead man, le fabuleux destin d'amelie poulain, requiem for a dream, tokyo eyes, magnolia, gataca, the piano, and so many...

Not my all time favorite, because it's just too emotionally exhausting, but very good:

Dancer in the Dark. There were people leaving the theater before the end, so beware.
