zissou, from what i can see of your pics, your house is outstanding.

i just hope its not Mr.Freeedom or our addiction on general that makes you selling it!

Thanks, man. The house was pretty much uninhabitable when I bought it. I've put loads of blood and sweat into the restoration work.

No, I am selling it because it is about twice as large as I need. Oh, and I still co-own it with my ex wife! :\

Hey Beatle!

They are actually Uniqlo black chinos. Perfect for wearing everyday and beating the shit out of. Link is here if anyone is looking for cheap well fitted work pants:

Photo of same pants from December 2008 in MF deck jacket. I have owned a couple pairs better than dickies in my opinion.

MF is not an item on sale, so the 30% discount doesn't apply.

This jacket - without the patch - is so close to being awesome. I just can't dig the flash of plaid under the collar. Oh well. More money in my pocket (Yeah right, like it will stay there. Ha!)

For those who think having a Belstaff or Barbour will prevent you from lusting after a Mullholland jacket...forget about it. I'm finding the Mullholland to be a superior jacket and worth the extra money. Although, I must say that the other ones have their advantages as well--and its not that they are cheaper.

I think if the Breezer was designed with just a little more restraint it would be perfect. I really just want something to replace my G9, which contains a "made in China" label that conflicts with the one that says: "Made in the UK" I hope SC does a straight G9 repro one of these days.

It's absolutely gorgeous - but at $900 I'm not sure it's nicer than the Sammy Miller, which I've seen at good prices and looks terrific in the flesh (altho I hate the fact it's made in Italy).

One good thing about the Belstaff is that they save you on the wax job. Beware, however, sometimes the wax looks and feels like they hot ironed it on as opposed to the slow rubbing labor of love. So, you see some spots with wax peeling off and this funny shine as opposed to hand waxing, it absorbs into the fabric and begins to look wet or shine when you wear it hard to give it the patina. For this reason, I went with the Che version and rewaxed it myself.

i searched the thread, but only found info on the chino riders., so:

can anyone tell me if the chinos from the naval/shore collection will shrink w/ a hot soak and if so how much?

thanks!

jacob_davis- great job on the henley! I hope you didn't sacrifice a whole BR crewneck for that though ;)

Fantastic jackets, heprof. That's quite a selection. I keep going back and forth on what would be best for me. it never rains here, so waxed cotton is useless. Plus it is very sunny and often hot here in summer, so I can just imagine it not breathing well.

I don't understand the breezer collar dislike. How often would you guys actually wear it with the collar up?

Today, I did a little sewing...

...of some deadstock liberty cuffs onto my MFSC denim utility shirt.

As far as I understand, the polar bear liberty cuffs were originally worn by sailors who had crossed the Arctic Circle. I've flown over it, and nearly crossed it on land (Iceland), but I thought it would be an homage to the northern climate where I live.
