Just to let you know that I'm still out there...

Scotland, Isle of Skye, at the foot of the Black Cuillin in the Fairy Pools.

First prototype taste from our new mate Toby at Rest Denim. Its a full length selvedge rein (well, duh, yeah) made with deadstock kaihara. Looking forward to more from the Rest workshops.

We've got another new compadre, Martin at Sindewinder Apparel; we'll be seeing more of Sidewinder via NoKipple soon...

Finally, I will have time to let you guys know what happened over the past weeks...

I flew in from Moscow to meet my wife and her family in Edinburgh late in the evening, so the first thing we did was finding our way to having breakfast at Loudon's in the morning...

Went to town after a successful breakfast...

Had to have yet another snack...

I managed to squeeze in a quick visit at one oft favorite whisky shops in town: Cadenhead

Obviously, I did not leave empty handed...

So many memories, I love Edinburgh and have spent a bit of time visiting there myself. Very friendly and very pretty.

Went to Pitlochry the next day, but not without stopping at Loch Tummel and Castle Menzies...

Had a nice dinner that evening - here are the desserts...

This was our hotel for the night (we keep coming back here on every trip)...

Everybody was happy!

Then night came over Pitlochry...

...and we entered into "the enchanted forest"!

From Pitlochry we made our way up to Dingwall with a few stops and sights along the way...

Next morning's breakfast did not offer any relief!

We've been coming here for a couple of years and it's still of the best seafood and porridge I've ever had!

Looks lovely Foxy.  One thing I cannot wrap my head around though, is the tomato slice at breakfast.. does not compute with my American mind.  Everything else, absolutely!  Great leg of the tour!

Great leg Foxy, I'm enjoying this.

Gnomes, the tomatoes are often fried or grilled rather than raw, a key component of the full English/Scottish/Irish breakfast.
