WW2 repro / detailed jeans

DANG! Thanks both of you :)

How much have they stretched (in the waist especially), setterman?

Would guess they're around 37" right now (washed them a couple weeks ago, and worn 8 or 9 times since).  They'll stretch all the way out to raw if need be.

@Nemo:

when you see "OR" in the product description they are raw. So these models:

The pictures might be misleading...but I think they simply took the same pics for raw and one-wash.

What Sams?! :D

Yep, I already corrected myself, inside my head though^^

Whats misleading too is, that I dont know if the measurements are referring to raw or ow states...

And I am talking about your S3000svmaybe, the zero war model you showed us.

The name alone by itself is already great, I like the idea of a "no (more) war model".

What is this contest you're talking about?  :huh2:

Ha, I wasn't checking the dates, humble buddy.

Now with so much input I think I stay with the 1003XX model, at least one of them. I prefer the laurel buttons, and the mil. twill though.

Warehouse was on top of my list anyway, their denim is just awesome.

ah that pair...I thought you meant something I did recently (and not over one year ago :D )

You see...so so so many brands to choose from. I am sure you will find a pair soon ;)

the 1001xx is a strange one , it isnt really a late 40's pair its details are more of a mixture of 30's and 40's . The way i see it is like a transition model from the 37 type details to the ww2 details starting with the loss of the cinch back

or i could be talking complete rubbish and its just a 40's - 50's type jean with a crotch rivet and 30's style arcs :)

A cursory look at those measurements would indicate that the 1003 is a straighter leg cut and (iirc), is without the ''shoulders'' of a true 50s cut. In other words, a 40s cut.

Flash, the description of the 1001SXX on the product page suggests you might be correct in summing up this model as a late 30s to WWII era homage.

What were dealing with with the 100XX, 1001, 1003XX, and 1001SXX is four jeans that are VERY similar in shape, and that's the reality of Levis from the late 30s to the early 50s.  For the purposes of this thread, the only one that is WWII in shape and details is the 1003XX.  The 1001SXX is whatever.  If it weren't for the crotch rivet and S in the name, no one would consider it to be anything other than a late 40s, early 50s repro.

sooooo there no pair the 1001sxx is based on? ot anyones got a fit pic for it?

No, 1003XX is their WWII model. The 1001SXX is the return of the 1001XX cut (last seen in 2012) alongside the revised cut 1001 model.
