My first and only BJJ tourny I was destroying my opponent but none of my guard passes, sweeps or submission attempts were scored and when he tapped to an armbar, he denied it and the ref said he never saw it. He won on points, the ref was his instructor.......

I'd be so pissed. Unfortunately, a lot of bjj events are poorly run. I'll make sure to not stop the armbar until the ref pulls me off or i break the other guy's arm.

I have been doing judo for a long time and to perfectly honest I'd rather give up the hold then break anyone's arm. But I understand the sentiment. People that don't tap when they're clearly not going to work their way out of the lock are the questionable decision makers here, I suppose.

I wouldn't hold it in class but I wish to this day that I'd held it in the tourny.

i have a neighbor downstairs that has his fucking subwoofer super loud, my glass table is shaking. I complained a few times to my landlord. I'm so tired I think I'm gonna call him and instead of telling him the music is too loud, I'll just tell him that he's having an orgy with his guys friends and that they are yelling too much.

Look, my freshman year of uni I was the same way.

You either confront and tell him your qualms, or be a bitch and choose to stay or move out.

If he starts to bother you up to a point where you don't want to go back to your room anymore, you know something is wrong.

Like azn8oi said, you must confront him about or suffer the consequences.

I had a roommate who was a friend of mine and he constantly used my cookware without saying a damn word to me. To make things worse, he would leave the cookware unclean in front of the sink and not tell me a damn thing. A few days pass and I'm quickly fed up. I told him immediately that I wasn't down with how he was using my cookware and not cleaning it. He thought he'd done nothing wrong, and stupidly denied that such a thing was happening. Some people are idiots and you just need to tell them.

All things aside, good luck with your roommate endeavors.

how much would it cost to throw it down in europe for 2 weeks staying in hostels?

This is a difficult question to answer. Different places have a different cost of living. Also need to take into consideration how you're traveling. Exempting London which is a gouger in a class of its own, I would never stay in a hostel that cost more than 13 euros a night. And even that I've been mostly able to get under without much fuss.

Where are you hopping to go?

I went over to my ex-gf's house tonight cause she's home for a few days since she has mono. It was nice seeing her, but the feeling is gone and we've gone back to being just good friends, which is nice, but I didn't stick around long. Wasn't awkward, wasn't great, just was. :| (neutral face)

adding on to that: it feels really weird to be home after being away for over a month now. Its really not a thing, but simultaneously, I'm finding that my patterns from being at school have no place in my patterns at home. I'm extremely stir crazy cause I'm used to walking everywhere and I find myself roaming the house aimlessly when I have nothing to do. Kinda glad I'm going back tomorrow, but obviously, at the same time I'm not.
