Does anyone know why these are double the price of regular 501 stf's. Are they some kind of limited run or artist batch? I couldn't justify spending double for polka dots.

Even if they were free I'd have to really think about it.

Was at the local farmer supply/implement store today and lo and behold i saw a variety of STF i had never seen before. They were regular blue indigo, except VERY hairy and even a little slubby. Normal STF warp/weft is uniform almost to an extreme, and these pairs were uneven with some weft poking through. Some of the pairs had a small layer of dust on them - I'm wondering if they are a very old run the shop has had a supply of for years?

Levi's 501 STFs, since Jan 1, 2009. Hot initial soak, one hot wash/hot dry in May.

End of July update for the mn.com 501 contest! Going strong, crotch is slowly starting to rip. These are due for it's 2nd wash very soon.

impulse purchase... copped Black STF's hot soaked um already. Shit looked like an octopus exploded in my bathtub, so much black I couldn't even see the jeans after a while. There drying now be good to go tomorrow. On the prowl for the Khaki ones since the grey are no where to be found, wish I would have caught wind of these earlier.
